I can see where this will have the ability to cause problems but I think most good guild who are forward thinking will want to get the heirloom patterns for their members. Though there will probably prioritizing based on what is released to be purchased.

I mean as far as I can tell the guild buys access to one pattern, let's say a leather chest, and then all the guilds leatherworkers can get that pattern, and anyone in guild can wear that item. I would think since it goes back to the GB after you leave a guild that would mean that once you have level up with the chest you can return it to the GB for someone else to use, but I could be wrong about that.
