The way I look at it, Cataclysm looks like its a long way off. I mean for gods sake, 3.3 alone has been taking months. Halls of reflection, the upcoming 5-man instance isnt even out on the PTR yet, not to mention Icecrown Citadel!Lets face the facts-if they havent even opened up the 5-mans yet, do you really think that the 10 and 25-mans will be coming any sooner? The Lich King's gonna be no pushover, and I'm speculating that Blizzard won't release any Cataclysm betas, test runs, PTRs for at least a couple of months after 3.3's release- this would allow players to experience Arthas fully before they're sent scrambling off once again to galavant in the world of Deathwing.
On the bright side, however, there is a hint to the release date- I don't know whether this can be taken seriously or not, but in the official Cataclysm teaser, it says, and I quote, "As the War against the Lich King rages on...". Seems to me that what Blizzard has said there is that they'll probably give 3.3 a month or two to allow players to relish the new instances, then THAT is when they'll bring the betas crashing down on WoW players.
