Oooh look guys! It's a woman who likes geeky things and doesn't weigh 800 lbs! OMG she's so talented!
It's absolutely pathetic. The humor on The Guild is so amateur and lame. There is no way any of you would like it at all if you didn't have a crush on her. Grow up.

Actually, I enjoy the guild because it's a silly little diversion when I'm having a bad day. It's not the funniest show, but for a niche show, it's not bad, either. How many other shows portray gamers in a human light? (Really, if you know of any, I'd like to check them out. I'm ignorant on web-series and the like.)
It's all right if you don't like the show, but unless you're looking for an argument, posting it here probably will be a frustrating endevour. A lot of readers will propbably flame you into oblivion.

I guess I want to hop on the flaming bandwagon.
I admire her because not only is she a female gamer, she's obviously very intelligent. She would be a good role model to all girls, not just gamers: she's not obsessed with her appearance, she's an intellectual and doesn't sell herself using her body and she's doing what she loves. Why wouldn't people like her?

If I don't voice my opinion on this, then every one will continue to believe that all WoW players enjoy this series. It simply isn't true.
"How many other shows portray gamers in a human light?"
I think the depiction is shallow, and part of the reason I don't enjoy the show. It is more like they are depicting the exact sort of gamer that I don't want to be associated with just because I play WoW. It's all the same folks I just saw at Blizzcon who made me sad to like this game. Nerds.

People only like the dude because they are attracted to Felicia? Whatnow? As a dude who likes dudes and is a big fan of The Guild I have to find fault with your reasoning. The comedic timing on the show is faboo.

"doesn't sell herself using her body"
I actually had nothing against her until her recent "music video." She is most definitely selling her body. And she is selling it to you guys. Please don't buy, because she's make a joke out of all of you. "Look there is money to be made in selling sex to nerds."

That's cool, Spoonshark. If you aren't a nerd, then the show won't appeal to you. If you're embarrassed to play WoW because of other people who play it, you aren't looking at the right way. It's about what you want to do in your free time, not the notions of others. I am one, so I don't see the characters as base stereotypes, just geeky people dealing with problems. Of course, a lot of the characters are exaggerated for effect, but all sitcoms do that.
I understand your need to speak out, but the comments on WoW.com isn't the appropriate forum. You won't find the people who might learn something from your opinion.
