WoW Moviewatch: Don't Make Me Get My Main
Cranius is the legendary WoW musician behind Big Blue Dress and Darrowshire. If you've been following Moviewatch, then you already know he worked with equally amazing machinimator Legs to create a music video for Wrought. For BlizzCon 2009, the pair again created an astounding piece of art, titled Don't Make Me Get My Main.
The story of the video is something with which most of us can empathize. At least, you can empathize with it if you've ever tried leveling an alt up through Stranglethorn. A beleaguered low level character is just trying to get his quests done, but a vile Blood Elf repeatedly gray-ganks the poor chap. The protagonist implores the ganker to leave him alone, before he's forced to go get his accomplished, powerful main character.
I'll avoid spoilers for the ending, but trust me when I say it's probably yet another experience most of us have probably suffered through before. Congratulations to Cranius and Legs on winning a first place prize with this video.

I adore Cranius - he's overtaken Oxhorn as my favourite machinamist.
His own songs are wonderful and often funny or moving, the machinima (machinimi?) he's made for other songs have been fabulous - BBD being a classic. 'Wrought' and 'Darrowshire' actually brought tears to my eyes - and his collaboration for Ulduar is IMO better than the original. He's also been a help to me when I had to make my own machinima for a university project.
Bloody good work, Cranius. Congratulations.

Oh goddess... I laughed and I cried. SSSOOOOOOOOOOOO know the feeling. I never let myself get my main though... just couldn't take the punch to the ego, because, and I so mean this, -sighs then laughs softly as the video plays through my head- I so suck at pvp. I started on a pve server, friends.. that word needs a new definition, persuaded me to transfer to a pvp server. I went in with reservations. In the end, it was another transfer for me.
I understand the conflict with the world at large that we immerse ourselves in daily. However, I'm also a realist. Hmm so you got the node of titanium? Ehh there will be another one shortly. I was taught to fight smart, not mad. I'm smart enough to know I suck.. therefore..
Ehh but gankers and campers. I'm so glad you have a level 80 char.. Now do you MIND if I attempt the same feat on my level 33?
Awesome amazing video and yeah, I'm headed to amazon to put all of the work on my wish list. Thank you so much

The vid is funny because it's true but ganking is apart of being on a PVP server and I wouldn't have it any other way. It can be frustrating but fun at other times. It's called "conflict" folks if you don't like it roll on a PVE server.

Lol - awesome Video - good guitar n the singing was excellent.
I've had a somewhat similar experience back in BC....was lvling my alt Shammy thru STV when a lvl 40 undead Warr and a lvl 55 Tauren Druid starting camping all Ally questing near the Horde town they have there.....My shammy got killed thrice - i got onto my Warrior main who was in full S4 gear n trinkets with the Stormherald mace....flew over to STV and proceeded to one shot both of em and then starting camping and killing em for a good 20 mins or so...they musta called in ppl frm general or their guild as after about 25 mins of my camping 3 70's showed up....i knew i was gonna die anyway so i popped recklessness and took out 2 of the 70's before they killed my main lol.

it reminds me of the time in stv when a shaman and ofcourse, some bloody A%# annoying rogue, were camping my grp while i needed help with a quest(which was red for me) they were being camped, but they got bored and stopped killing them, the next day, i remebered the shaman's name from the day before, he was terrorizing stormwind, so i went and attacked him, he died a few seconds later, so we camped him for half an hour. good times, i think that sometimes getting ganked has a happy ending.

Know what, I knew it, as soon as I saw the griefer was a paladin. I knew it, the main was a DK. The only class capable or having an easier time beating a paladin really. I knew it was a DK.
Of course the end was funny though.
