My concern would accidently pressing those extra buttons, that and It razer so it's overpriced. I personally have a G5, but anyone looking the MX518 is really good to. It dosen't have the weights the G5 has but it's a really good mouse. As for the cord breaking alot of higher end mice have sturdier cords the run of the mill mice
