Many people have been writing into our tip line that they are unable to log in to their servers at this time. Both Battle.Net and non-Battle.Net users are complaining that authentication is down for them. I received the above error message myself, however my husband is able to log in just fine.
We'll keep you updated should Blizzard say anything officially or other developments arise. In the meantime, I will be trying again later as the message asks me to do.
Update 7:46PM: Most people are reporting that the authentication issues are fixed.

Just got Time Warner to finally fix my internet today (I had been randomly losing internet for periods up to 4 hours at a time) only to find out that the Login Server is busy, ain't that a kick in the teeth. Just wanted to do my JC daily and make my Icy Prism

I tried to log on at 7 or so (EST) and got stuck at authenticating, but I managed to get on 10 minutes ago. Whatever the problem was, I think they fixed it.

I am getting a cannot log in still is this problem stll on going? i cant even get to the blizzard site as of yet so I cant confirm anything from them either.....
By the way I tried with 3 accounts and all failed (T_T)

Argh, stupid, stupid, stupid of me - I logged out to do something quickly on an alt, and to stay in the raid, I used the task manager to log out instead of logging off normally. Now I'm stuck at authenticating again and my raid slot might be given away!

If your in a raid, you don't need to use the task manager to save your spot. You'll never leave raids after you log out. Only parties make you leave group as you log out.

Stuck on authenticating. Don't use an authenticator or Battle.net account.

I was in the middle of a VoA 25 man, restarted my game to lower graphics (computer sucks) and haven't been able to log back in for a good hour and a half. ROUGH.
