So I noticed that there were several areas "being taken over by the horde". What's that all about. What's the alliance is getting out of this? (other than the super awesome werewolves)

Both factions are making their own pushes and it just happens that the Horde pushes are the one see see the most right now. For example the Alliance have a fortification in Northern Barrens now and likely will in Silverpine also.

With a war hungry douchebag like Garrosh calling the shots it's not out of the question for the Horde to assault and take settlements that Thrall didn't want to or cared to.

@ BarinthosSo far, from what we know, Garrosh seems to have actually finished what Thrall started. The Horde wanted to conquer Ashenvale long before Garrosh came around. Since the Horde have been there since Vanilla, we have to assume that Thrall sanctioned the conquest of Ashenvale.

@jealouspirate - I thought that with the peace negotiations with Jaina, Thrall wanted to work out some kind of trade agreement with the alliance since they needed lumber. Meh, either way, Garrosh will take it into his hands to assault any Alliance settlement he can since alliance are "scum". I'm horde myself and I think Garrosh is a toolbox to the Nth degree lol. I might just stay on my Worgen when Cataclysm comes out.

With any luck, as time goes on, they'll start to show what (if anything) the Alliance took. There's really no way that the Horde could divert their forces to take so much land without losing some territory. Besides the camp in the Barrens, there's got to be more, yeah?

@BarinthosIf you think Garrosh is a toolbox, you should meet Wrynn... what an a-hat.His feelings for the Horde are pretty much the same as Garrosh's for the Alliance, so I reckon there's going to be just as many Alliance incursions into Horde territory as the other way around.Question is, what the hell are Thrall and Jaina up to and why aren't they keeping their rabid dogs on their leashes?

Garrosh is a douche... he murdered Bloodhoof just because they didn't see eye to eye. When people in command start killing their own loyal faction members, then things have gone way downhill. It won't be long now until the whole Horde faction just dissolves. The Forsaken are doing their own thing. The Orcs are doing their own thing. The Tauren are probably confused, and still grieving. The Trolls... eh who knows?
