So close... and yet so far. As you can see, our BlizzCon bingo didn't quite win this year -- even if you count Chris Metzen's regular glasses as non-sunglasses, and even if you just plain assume that the "coffee" in Ghostcrawler's cup on Saturday morning was actually gin (I saw him drinking whiskey, but not gin, unfortunately -- not sure why I didn't just buy the guy a drink), our BlizzCon card didn't score again ths year. There was no actor announced for the
WoW movie (though if
Tricia Helfer does get a part, we might call that one even),
Diablo III trilogy plans weren't announced, and we didn't hear anything at all about another iPhone app or the new MMO.
Sad trumpet indeed.
But there's always next year. Thanks for playing. If you did actually get a bingo this year, let us know exactly how (I don't remember any devs ever saying "soon, TM," but I was away from the panels a lot this year). Maybe next year we won't make the bingo card quite so heroic, but then again, who doesn't love a good challenge? We won't nerf something we're just doing for fun.

Actually, you CAN cross off new dances, they DID say they were working hard on it.
Jay Aug 26th 2009 9:20PM
Working hard doesnt cut it; especially when they were meant to ship with WotLk.
Furydeath Aug 26th 2009 9:22PM
Didn't they say they wanted to get an app for in game guild chat?
Derick Aug 26th 2009 10:44PM
This is what I thought. It was practically announced if I remember the tweet that was pushed to my phone.
Meep Aug 26th 2009 9:26PM
Um i did NOT see the 'this guy'. I talk to him every year. I was disappointed that i didn't find him this year :(
Mike Schramm Aug 26th 2009 11:28PM
I didn't see him either, but Turpster told me he saw him and said hi.
rawrawrawr Aug 26th 2009 11:31PM
He was definitely there, i saw him on the livestream.
Azbulldog Aug 27th 2009 3:12AM
He was wearing huge skull shoulderpads. Hard to miss honestly.
Oh right, here's a crappy pic I got of him, since I don't see him in the WoW.com costume gallery.

Nobunaga was definitely there! Like he would ever miss a Blizzcon.

Wow, Tricia Helfer in the WoW movie would be an uber-nerd dream come true. :D
Karilyn Aug 26th 2009 10:29PM

I saw "This Guy" on the Direct Tv Internet stream, he is Nobu-Naga, he used to be a co-host of WoW Things Considered on Wcradio.com.
Rob Aug 27th 2009 4:45AM
They talked alot about the new MMO on DirectTV where Mike + Chris I think (or that Art Director guy can't remember his name...) confirmed the rumors about the MMO beeing a new universe. They also said that they didn't want the WoW-players to "join" the new MMO, they're not making it for WoW-players and so on.
So you got that one right, imo. ;)
Stormdragon Aug 27th 2009 8:19AM
They really need to stop calling them I-phone apps considering they work great with I-pod touch too...anyway yeah cross of the new App in coming they talked about it.
Drakkenfyre Aug 27th 2009 8:51AM
"Confirmed the rumors" ?
They confirmed it was a new universe back when it was announced.
bestbingosites1 Aug 27th 2009 9:37AM

chipersoft Aug 27th 2009 11:07AM
A new iphone app was announced, kinda. During one of the interviews on the livestream they said there's a guild chat mobile app in the works.
