One thing I noticed with this hat is it doesn't have the customary 30-second cooldown on the the "use" effect after equipping it. This means you can "use" it to put on a lure immediately after equipping.

Until 3.2 (I believe), it DID have that cooldown. It was annoying as hell, so seeing it removed was a very nice surprise.

It used to have a cooldown, but they got rid of it. Presumably because it was such a pain to wait 30 seconds to attach a lure just to fish from a node that you happened to randomly stumble across.

Hah! I hadn't even noticed they pulled the CD--I'd gotten so used to it that I've been equipping and then casting a couple of times before I'd even look at my hat button to see if it was ready to use. /facepalm
