Don't be too certain that the cloth caster DPS isn't going to be rolling off against Priests and Druids just yet, reforging will allow them to remove stats they don't like (Hit) into stats that they do (Spirit). It may not always result into the best piece they could be wearing at any given moment, but it may end up being better than what they currently have. The positive upshot of this is that you can do the same thing backward - take Spirit and translate it into something else.
My understanding of Haste was that the change is mostly directed at non-Mana resource using classes - for example, Energy for Rogues. My guess is that Haste will end up doing what it currently does in a more limited fashion (i.e. increasing attack speed) as well as being the passive regen resource for DPS classes (the more haste you have, the less you have to Evocate, possibly).

You don't have to guess. It was explicitly stated that haste will stay the way it is for casters and increase resource regeneration for physical attack classes. It won't increase melee attack speed at all, just energy, rage, focus regeneration.
Where it becomes unclear is how this will affect ret paladins and enh shaman.
