Travel Form never becomes obsolete. At least, when I was playing my Druid, it never did. It's still used to get from one mob to another faster if they are a ways away and it is used heavily in PVP.I'm actually glad it doesn't scale with mount speed. One of the things that made me stop playing my Druid (besides boredom and a desire for a Priest) was that I barely saw my character. Silly, I know, but I worked for armor and I wanted to see it. Not some big bear booty or a tree throwing it's hands in the air. :P
