Enter September's Guild of the Month contest
August's Guild of the Month contest has come and gone, and while the editors work on contacting last month's winners, it's time to start our contest for September. If you've been reading WoW.com for awhile now, you probably know what this contest is already. For those of you that don't, allow me to explain.If you think your guild is the best in the World of Warcraft, you might have a chance to win a $100 gift certificate from Warcraft.Swagdog.com where you can pick up custom guild apparel for you and members of your guild.
What do you need to do to enter? It's simple: You nominate your guild by sending us a short (no longer than 200 words) summary of why you think your guild is the best out there. Tell us why you think your guild is so unique! What sort of guild are you? What do you do together? What sets you apart from all of the other guilds out there? If you entered last month, no problem! Your guild can't win again if you've won previously, but if you haven't won yet in previous months, feel free to enter this month's contest.
Please send all submissions to contests@wow.com! At the end of the month, we'll pick a winner from those entries and profile them here on the site. Keep in mind, that means if you like your obscurity and don't want to be profiled, you might not want to enter.
You must be 18+ to win, and the contest is open to both US and non-Quebecois Canadian readers. Please submit your entry with an email address you check regularly, as we'll be contacting you via email if you win. All entries must be submitted by September 30th or they will be disqualified. It's standard. Many contests aren't open to residents of Quebec, I believe there are legal technicalities that make it so.

Quebec has different laws for gambling/raffle type contests. As a result they are often not eligable unless the sponsoring company registers seperately with the province of Quebec and not just the Federal programs covering the rest of the country.

Quebec has some really strict laws about contests their citizens may participate in. The burden on WoW.com (or any other company wanting to do a promotion) is really high, much higher than is reasonable for a simple giveaway.

I just hope alex dosen't get 1000 submissions that sound like trade chat recruiting;

The address in the post differs from the address in the official rules. Hopefully, that's not a big deal.

How about just one horde guild winning?
MusedMoose Sep 1st 2009 6:55PM
I can only imagine what I'd have to say for my guild to win this:
"Umm... Guild meetings are really easy, they happen whenever all four of us are actually online at the same time. We've considered getting a fourth bank tab so we can each have one. We've downed the bosses of Deadmines and Scarlet Monastery more times than some guilds have members."
*grin*
