How about, assuming they take twice as long as they say, they credit for 1 hour of outages. So that would be...$15/mo divided by 30 days...$0.50 per day..divided by 24 to get the hourly rate...

Tuesdays are scheduled maintenance. If they go 12:00am to 11:59pm on Tuesday, as far as I'm concerned it's still falls within their scheduled maintenance time. Rolling restarts are negligible. Hence, 1 hour.

Actually... it will be beyond that time. They just took ours down... and if you believe it will be 30 minutes (yeah right) then you are looking at 2:45 or 3pm EDT

Anybody hear anything about why our servers are down a second day? Surprisingly, our usual 8am "Additional Instances Cannot Be Launched" door boss wasn't there. Either that or she took the morning off. I had assumed this was now fixed, wonder what else it could be.

I assume that the extended maintenance all servers experienced yesterday prevented them from doing some part of the instance server upgrade on our servers, since this is the list of servers that was supposed to be upgraded yesterday.

I'm fine with the downtime, as long as it removes the door boss permanently. I'd rather not be able to play at all than to be able to log in and not access what I want to do.

Hopefully this is addressing why many realms (mine's thunderlord) cannot progress to Anub on 10 and 25 man trial. That was pretty frustrating last night.

Basically you progress through normal mode well normally until you defeat the twins. After that there is no option to talk to the npc to progress to the final fight, he only states that there will be a celebration next week... which is the text we got last week if I remember correctly.
I was bummed, we haven't seen Arthas in so long I was waiting to see him cause some trouble, not to mention I wanted to get started on hard modes.

wait, all the downtime yesterday was to remove the portal boss? it did not phase the portal boss on my realm even the slightest, maybe this "30 mins" will do it? :D

Realms didn't go offline till 2pm EDT, so they won't be back up till at least 2:30pm EDT.

Was any other server affected by the ToC Bug last night. The Whole of Aggramar could not get to Anub'Arak. After downing twins, no guild could get him out. The guy just said wait til next week. Its fixed now but blizz never said a word about it.
