Anyone know what is up with the "Faction Change redemption code" that they have as an alternative method of payment? I don't have a CC so this is pertinent to my interests.

It's a more material version of it, you buy it out of the Online Store and give it as a gift I believe. They have it for the other services too I think as well.

I wouldn't be surprised if they offer these to people on selected faction-imbalanced realms, as an alternative to (or in addition to) free server transfers.

E.g., if a server is 80/20 Horde/Alliance, they could offer free faction transfers to Horde players for that server.
