This is great for people who wish to see the opposite side of the game without having to reroll a level 1, but for me I am Horde for life and I really regret my Female Undead Mage. I would much rather have a BE Mage but I cannot bring myself to pay $60 just to do what I want.. They seriously need to consider race changes. Please Blizzard make it an option sooner than later.

I also just noticed that you can only change your faction once every 60 days. I can't go 2 months w/out using my mage. So boo to that.

Race changes are coming.
On a related note, you wouldn't be able to use the faction change service to turn your Undead into a Blood Elf. When you try to switch back to your old faction, you'll automatically become the race you used to be.

Are you sure? Because someone commented earlier that you can change back to any race that can be that particular class.. Also this is taken from the FAQ over on Blizzards website.
"When I change a character back to its original faction, can I select any new race?
Yes. As noted previously, though, you will only be able to select a race that is available to the character's class."
So you are incorrect Kabshiel.

Race changes are coming LATER. This has been stated previously and brought up a number of times. It was announced at Blizzcon that race changes were probably coming out after Cataclysm. This is FACTION switches. Meaning you make your UD Mage a Human, Gnome, or Draenei.
It's original faction means from Horde to Alliance back to Horde. From UD Mage to Human Mage back to UD Mage or Troll Mage or Blood Elf Mage. Not Orc Mage (yet) or Tauren Mage because there are no such things as these things.

I was at blizzcon but I missed the panel that discussed the Race changes, and I know what a faction change is, i never once questioned what this was. I personally think Race Changes should be out the same time as a Faction change. Why make us wait a year to do what we want to accomplish? If its about $$ for impaitent people then that just isn't right if you ask me.

I'm pretty sure it's because of the Goblins and Worgens. I could be wrong though. Level 80 Blood Elf Mage switches to a Goblin Mage and gets realm first faster than anyone could. My guess though.

That does bring up a very good point. Wish I had thought of that =)

@AmazonLily I don't think that's the reason because a Horde Orc Warrior could faction change to a Worgen Warrior at launch and still get the achievement. They may block realm firsts from popping for faction changes/race changes.

Guess they changed it. The FAQ when the service was first announced a couple months ago said the opposite. My bad.
