Myself and my guild are currently pretty divided on the whole "Overlap Content" thing, and now to have the forum go up on this coming patch with us unlocking heroic 10 man, and having a wipefest on Anub in 25, theres a lot of demorilazation amongst raiders on my server...Ulduar has kind of become old news already, and theres hardly a majority of 80's with the 10 or 25 Yogg ach.I'd just hate for this to be another Sunwell scenario where most people never even got to see Brutallis up close, and try to revisit it puggish at the new level cap.

All this talk about Cataclysm will die down again once people realize it's at LEAST six months away, and no more information is coming out. I don't think there will be a steady stream of new info like people are expecting. The focus will turn once again to the Lich King and 3.3, and plus the summer is ending so people will be raiding on a more regular basis, getting achievements, etc.

Well, while I'm inclined to agree with you for my own selfish reasons, I also see the other side of the argument. The guilds that get to see every scrap of raiding content in the game put a pretty crazy amount of time into the game. Write this off as dedication or pathetic as you will, the fact is they have done the work to be there. If you give everyone in the world time to finish a raid before releasing new content, the players that do it in a week will be long gone to greener pastures. While some may say "good riddance," or "well that's a very small percentage of the population," these are also the people that put out guides, videos, and addons that get the rest of us through this content. The only other other viable option (which has been done) is to keep releasing content on a steady basis, remove attunments and allow everyone access, then let the cards fall as the may.On top of this, Blizzard has also allowed all the encounters to be tackled with only 10 people, and has defaulted them to "easy mode," once again allowing more access to the majority of the player base. I personally really like where raiding is right now. I may never do the hard modes or get a world or server first, but at least our small guild is getting to see the content this time around. We're having a great time, and that's what its all about right?
