Pacifist Priest dings 80 on Friday
Reinisch is the pacifist Undead Priest who's aiming to make it to level 80 without killing anything at all (he's the same player as Noor, who we interviewed way back when and followed up with a while ago), and apparently this Friday, he's going to do it. He's inviting everybody out to a party on Friday afternoon, September 4th, at 6pm server over on The Venture Company. He's going to turn in a Dalaran fishing quest to do it, and he's got quick and easy directions posted on how to get to Dalaran as a level 1.Though there might not be as much going on as other big server parties, it's probably worth going just to see him ding level 80 and the level 1 chaos in Dalaran that will ensue, but it's quite an achievement for sure, especially considering that this Priest was actually created before Noor -- he's named after a German priest who stood up to Hitler in the name of peace and was executed for it. It might be nice just to stop by and give the guy a grats as he dings -- pretty impressive to take a goal that most people would say was impossible, and do it in the game not once but twice on two different classes and factions.

i can't possibly imagine having that kind of patience or determination to achieve such a thing... But Grats to him!
yokumgang Sep 2nd 2009 4:04PM
I can't help but think that this is obviously going to be a healer priest...
I wonder what would give me that idea?
Barinthos Sep 2nd 2009 4:05PM
That is pretty impressive. I know for sure I couldn't do it. I don't have anywhere near that level of patience.
Vuru Sep 2nd 2009 4:09PM
I think Yokumgang was getting at this but....
He's a priest, he could just heal instances and "never kill anything". I don't really see this as being that great...

He didn't do that either, because that would be too easy. He's a pacifist and doesn't assist others with killing things either. He did it by doing non-violent quests, doing daily quests, like fishing and cooking, or capping flags in AB/WSG all without killing anything. Grats to him on finishing a goal and finding a way to play a game that is truely unique.

you sure he did flag stuff to? Because he end up with HK's doing that wouldn't he? Unless he left the raid group before starting the match

Lol you down rate my post but not the post that I was referring to ? The guy that said the exact same thing as me ?
Haha you kids are ridiculous.
JHawk Sep 2nd 2009 5:56PM
No, the other post made a speculation as to the future of this character, you denigrated their achievement and made assumptions about how they could have found a loophole which was already addressed in the referenced articles. I would assume that would be where the downrating would come from.

Armory says:
Total kills: 66403
Creatures Killed: 34625
granted, several of those might have been people on his group killing stuff, but ...
Total Killing Blows: 3489
Rastakitty Sep 2nd 2009 4:46PM
I don't know if it is that case in this situation but previously when someone made it to 80 without a single death they were listed as having stats incorrectly because of previous attempts with the same character. The armory didn't reset when they restarted their character, even if it isn't the case it shows the armory can be way off.

Never, EVER trust Armoury stats for this kind of thing. According to my Priest's Armoury entry, she's died 34400 times in Instances (despite having run Nexus twice), got 6000 critter kills, despite having never killed a critter, and has won well over 500 Arena matches, not to mention having killed well over 11000 people in PvP.
She's level 77.
Same goes for my Orc Shaman, who at level 54, somehow, had got 200 killing blows in PvP. He has no honour points, having never participated in any kind of PvP.
In short, the Armoury is completely worthless for stats. Don't believe anything you read in it.

As impressive as this sounds I found it a little hard to be true. Have you checked out his armory page? Check out the statistics, find it a little hard to believe he hasn't killed anything at all when he has over 3000 killing blows...
Not only that it appears that over 4000 critters have faced his wrath...
Clydtsdk-Rivendare Sep 2nd 2009 4:15PM
Killing Blows could easily be something like Ret Aura, although that's highly unlikely.
Does PVP count?
gari.rogers Sep 2nd 2009 4:23PM
Was was going to say, Discipline Priests have reflective shields, but he's Speced Holy atm.
JR Sep 2nd 2009 4:15PM
I don't doubt him, after all he had done it once before. But why does he have over 3,000 killing blows on his Armory profile? Can you get credit for someone's killing blow in some way?
i not vewy smat Sep 2nd 2009 4:20PM
It's possible that's a glitch. My druid's statistics have me getting a few thousand kills and deaths in arenas, which is odd, because she's never set foot in an arena. Actually, none of my toons have done so much as a skirmish match. The Armory statistics can be pretty wonky at times.
Hailene Sep 2nd 2009 4:25PM
Yep, don't trust statistics. I have a number of deaths in Arenas recorded, when I have in fact only ever been on one team and never played a single game.
Jon Do Sep 2nd 2009 4:38PM
LOL
If you don't believe the numbers look at his PvP rep.
What a farce.
