This reminds me a lot of EQ or EQ2's AA points or paths. More similar to EQ2 in that it's a path rather than just a lot of abilities or stats from alternate exp. This is a very very exciting feature in Cataclysm to me. More character customization even if there is a "best" one is great!

I'm surprised nobody else mentioned the similarity to AA's. Until we see it in action, I'm going to have a hard time believing that this isn't just one more major timesink before people will think you're qualified to raid, and a huge detriment to ever having an alt.

I guess when Cataclysm drops, there will be less stuff on EJ for people to be not able to understand.
