How I WoW ends its run, Patrick Beja to work for Blizzard

The show is ending (temporarily, perhaps -- Shawn hints that he may revive it, or help someone else to do so) mostly because Patrick Beja, as we heard at the very end of BlizzCon, is off to work for Blizzard in their Paris office. Unfortunately, he says he won't have a very public face at the company, but he's excited to have the position, and we're obviously very happy for him. He won't be able to podcast about World of Warcraft or Blizzard at all, so as Shawn says in the final show, there will definitely be a Patrick-shaped hole in the community. He won't be gone completely, though: he says will be able to continue his other podcasting work, including on The Movielicious podcast with our very own Turpster.
We wish Patrick and Shawn the best, and if you haven't yet tuned in to How I WoW, definitely go give it a listen while the archives are still up -- it's a very interesting take on some of the more familiar faces in the community at large. We'll miss the show for sure.

This has actually saddened me, AND made me excited about Patrick's new position. Now the only way I'll hear from Shawn will be through in game, in AIE. :(

( Need an edit button, sent that comment too soon -.- )
On a side note I haven't seen Shawn in game personally in a while, either. Ah well...
How I WoW, Shawn and Patrick will be missed.

I wasn't on for the past 2-3 days thanks to being too busy, but, good to know he's still active.

I share your feelings. The show was entertaining and informative. How I Wow was my first exposure to Patrick and I congratulate him on his new career.
I am curious if we'll no longer be hearing from Patrick on other pod casts (The Instance add on segments and such) or his playful bickering with Mark Turpin.
Shawn and Patrick... Thank you for providing us the pod cast. I will miss you guys.

I just finished listening to it, it was actually the first episode that I listened to. I follow Patrick on twitter and heard about it. It was really cool. I downloaded a couple extra podcasts too. Good times.

Well from having read the article on The Instance pod cast website... seems Patrick must leave all of his shows. This makes me sadder but still... I am glad Patrick is doing what he loves.

When I first saw the title I thought it was a typo:
"How WoW ends its run, Patrick Beja to work for Blizzard"
I have heard of How I WoW before this though

I'm going to miss Patrick from the WoW podcasting community considerably. I only wish I had discovered How I WoW so much earlier (only over the past year have I started listening to WoW podcasts as my job allows for it), there's great stuff out there, but I always looked forward to Patrick's broadcasts the most.
Blizzard Paris are lucky to have him, I'm envious!

Of course, the WoW podcast that is by far, by FAR my favorite is the one that has to come to end end. Patrick was great on the show, the community will really miss him, but can't Shawn find a replacement?
