Emberstorm and Whirlwind battlegroups down

We're receiving reports that servers on the Whirlwind and Emberstorm battlegroups, located in the Seattle datacenter, are currently experiencing downtime. These were the same battlegroups that were scheduled to recieve their local power supply upgrade today, so there may have been some unanticipated issue in the process.
Don't panic! It's likely only temporary and they should be back up soon.
We'll update you guys with more info when we get it. The full list of affected realms is under the cut -- feel free to hit us up on Twitter @wowinsider if yours comes back up and we haven't reported on it yet.

+Antonidas, for whatever reason. I don't have any toons there, but it's also gray on the realm list I'm staring at right now because mine is down too.

I'm actually surprised WoW.com actually caught up with this so fast. Very GJ all.
I hit up the realm status when I was DC'd, then checked the forums and remembered why I stay away from the forums: the first server post i saw went from servers being down to where people are in Washington's geography and why they might be missing coffee...

Where is Blizzard's response. If WOW.com can get an update out this fast why can't they? A little acknowledgement from them that they know about the problem and are working on it would be reassuring. For all we know, they all took the 3-day weekend off.

I'd rather the limited staff they have actually work on the problem and post about what happened later. The more info they have, via the "Forums", the faster they can identify the problem, although I doubt they need our input to know whats going on.
But I do believe that when something like this does happen, it makes them check their policies on how fast they react to a situation like this and WoW.com reporting on it quickly can always help them learn. Cause everyone knows all the GM's read WoW.com ;)

Antonidas-US is part of the Emberstorm battlegroup and I can confirm it too has been down for 20+ minutes now. Just another to add to the list, perhaps.

I thought it was weird when I got to Dal and didn't get the Restricted Flight Zone Debuff... then it was even weirder to be swimming through the air in an empty town.

Its all good! i rerolled a Draenei Shaman on the Madora realm and made a Hogger raid for all Draenei ,at first, lvl 1-3 and we all went to goldshire, some left, so we invited enough humans to get it done. we actually killed hogger with 24 lvl 1-3s and one lvl 6! it was sooo much fun! Comment if you were involved!
