I've always wanted a high level shadow priest but time and time again I could just never get past the lower levels. Five toons and two years later I've finally got my level 80 spriest and I'm sad to say that he's collecting dust. For one, even though I can DPS I'm usually called on to heal. Certainly some people enjoy the role but I think this article nails it nicely. It's a boring, thankless job. When you do your absolute best, no one notices (sometimes not even the other healers). When you do your worst, everyone complains and bickers. On the rare chance I do get to dps, I do a middling job at best. In fact my far easier to level, and let's face it, more enjoyable to play, DK does 1K more DPS than my priest and he's woefully undergeared.PVP isn't much better. Surprisingly I'm very good at world PVP however in PVP that counts I get trashed right off the bat. It's almost pointless to DPS in a BG and unless I like Disc it's not easy to arena.Certainly there are good points to being a priest and I really do have a soft spot for them. I just can't help but feel that the class itself has some major issues.
