lolsmite is, imho, a really fun spec to play. you get bubbles and heals to keep you alive and a fairly fun leveling rotation in holy fire, smites, finish with SW:D, proc spirit tap and keep rolling through stuff. plus those instant casts now and again are just kind of cool.

shadow for leveling will suffer the same problems that affliction warlocks face: it takes 5 seconds to cast all the spells you need to cast, and then the mob dies before your dots are half finished. of course, if you try without dots, your damage sucks because you don't have a solid spammable spell (unlike holy/disc, which has glyphed smite).

i recommend http://holyfirespec.blogspot.com/ . there isn't a huge amount there, and it isn't frequently updated, but a lot of good basic info on leveling a priest the proper way: out of shadowform.
