TurpsterVision: Happy Birthday.net
We can't believe it either – Turpster has been let loose on WoW.com to bring you videos from in and around the World of Warcraft! You've heard him on the WoW Insider Show, and now see him on TurpsterVision right here on WoW.com.
Happy Labor Day everyone! But more importantly, Happy Birthday to me! Today is my favorite day of the year for obvious reasons but it could also be your favorite day of the year too thanks to my super-awesome-grunty-birthday-giveaway! All you have to do is to follow me on Twitter and sending me a 'Happy Birthday' tweet (Or anything you like, but it's my birthday - Did I mention it's my birthday?) The winner will be selected after 12am Wednesday and notified via a Direct Message on Twitter so make sure to get your tweet in before then.
Battle.net has some pretty awesome new features on the horizon. Sacco has already told us about the Real ID system giving us the ability for cross-realm, cross-server and cross-game chat. Migrating your WoW account isn't mandatory just yet, but it will become so in the future, though there are some great benefits to migrating early. Multiboxers can enjoy having just a single login for all of their accounts and just the one Blizzard Authenticator associated with them all. Any other Blizzard games you own can also be associated with your Battle.net account allowing you to download the clients to your PC without the original disks -- something that saved me $15 on buying StarCraft again (again -- I don't know how many StarCrafts I've bought over the years). You can also opt in to the StarCraft II beta and register an interest in any future Blizzard beta tests in each of their IPs.
So what are you waiting for? The authentication issues that plagued Battle.net accounts when they were first introduced seem to have died down now and the new announced features, whenever they arrive, look awesome and could change the way we play WoW forever. But there is one reason why you should migrate to Battle.net now if you haven't already, and his name is Grunty, and he could be yours if you take part in my super-awesome-grunty-birthday-giveaway!
Check out more of Turpster's work, from his WoW parody songs to TV previously on Massively.com, not forgetting everyone's favorite podcast 'The WoW Insider Show' and of course, TurpsterVision right here on WoW.com! Oh and by the way, It's his Birthday today!Filed under: How-tos, Contests, TurpsterVision

Tell your sister some random commenter for WoW.com said HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I'm sure she'll give you a very odd look.
Happy birthday Turpster.
Jamie Sep 7th 2009 4:13PM
I also would like to wish both Turpster & thatkiduknoe's sister a Happy Birthday!

I noticed you had 4 accounts so I merged my second account to the battle.net... how do I log onto the different wow accounts now?
ttvp Sep 7th 2009 6:38PM
I'm pretty sure you use the same e-mail and password (and authenticator) for all accounts under the battle.net unification. I think it asks you which one to log into when you log into warcraft.
Again, I only have one account, so I'm not entirely sure firsthand.

Happy B-Day Turpster!
Yeah, the Battle.net account is actually nice. I added Starcraft+Brood Wars, Warcraft 3 and Diablo2+LoD - all of which I only got in german. But the german voices really suck imo... so it's great that you actually can/have to choose the language version of the game you register.
So I could choose the english versions for those games and can now play them in english, without having to buy the english versions, which cost easily double the price.

Turpster, Turpster, Turpster. American spellings? Show some pride man.
Mark Turpin Sep 7th 2009 5:01PM
I don't make the rules, but I'll try to see if I can slip in the odd proper spelling of words here and there...
Carver Sep 7th 2009 5:29PM
Happy Birthday!
Jari Sep 7th 2009 5:45PM
People should do this now. When it becomes mandatory, the merging server will be crashing left and right.

Happy birthday, Turpster! You're my favorite person from Bristol.. and also the only person I know of. Well, there was that one git who was in our guild for a while named Gitski but he doesn't count because he chose to have a "family" instead of WoW. Raids before most everything else..
That's besides the point. Happy birthday, T!

And what if you think that Twitter is the root of all evil?
Drakkenfyre Sep 7th 2009 9:06PM
Giveaway is fine. Having to use Twitter is not. Happy Birthday, regaurdless
Serja Sep 7th 2009 9:29PM
I don't mind using Twitter, except I keep my updates protected, so I don't know if you'd get it. At any rate, happy birthday, dude! Does it have to be a direct tweet or is an @The_T sufficient?
