The main problem I have seen with the AE (besides his damage buff getting too high) is when new patches of fire also pop up or people run into existing patches while the AE damage happens. Its not a hard fight to heal, he basically announces when he is going to hit hard and mostly you need to prep for that and the AE damage. I would say that there are a few environmental factors that make things hard when you are first learning the fight, but once you know what to do it is easy. One thing a lot of people point out is that it is hard to see the flame patches in the orange glowing center of the room, which is a big portion of the space. Also, when the AE damage happens you've got a lot of boom, pop and sizzle going on and it also make it hard to distinguish flame patches. Ironically putting the spell graphics on high also fills your screen with a big red swath of fire during the AE. If people keep mindful of these things, though it should be an easy fight.
