BG Hero tracks your battleground activity

It'll track your plays and wins in each BG, obviously, but you can also get a whole bunch of graphs and numbers about how you're doing each time you play, including HKs per BG, and killing blows per battleground that you play. The app also tracks your totals daily and weekly, so if you get your character in there and let it update over a period of time, you can see just how you're doing. Pretty amazing stuff if you've been playing a lot of battlegrounds lately (and with the extra XP in there, why wouldn't you?). We're told the site is still being worked on, so expect more updates soon (and Phood is keeping info flowing on his blog), but in the meantime, it looks like a great way to look at your BG progress in more detail.

81% wins in wsg? This must be a horde player's graph -.-

*checks over statistics in the armory*
Pretty sure I'm Alliance and I have a 198-68 record (just shy of 75%).
Naku Sep 15th 2009 10:12AM
hahaha XD true! i just wanted post the same, when I saw your comment. And SoTA IoC 100%... definetly horde :P
Maybe i sholud lvl to 80 my poor orc shaman.
Kajira Sep 14th 2009 7:52PM
Good. This may kill some of the "FAIL!!! Horde always wins battlegrounds!!" propaganda on Stormstrike. My charts, just like my stats in game, say it's about %50 / %50.
People that go in with a losing attitude lose.

Archivon keeps a diary inside the Wintergrasp Keep that tracks the actual number of wins and losses on your server. Go check it out. (Also explains why he has loot).
It's between the summoning stone and the middle area.

@John: That win/Loss record can be wildly inaccurate, though. For a while, it said that on our server, Alliance had won WG like 330 times.... and that Horde had won like 30,000 times.

@i not vewy smat -
Sounds about right.

Phood Sep 14th 2009 10:01PM
hehe, this is all coming so fast it's insane!
I would like to say a couple of things:
1) the site isn't nearly finished, but i'm still working on it (really I had no plans to release this yet)
2) the site is full of bugs!
3) my server is probably about to break
4) I limited to the accuracy accorded by the wow armory, currently there is a massive bug with HK's so don't be surprised if you see silly numbers turning up.
5) the site is about to get a whole new look
6) i'm completely open to suggestions about anything
7) my spelling is awful so if you spot anything truely horrific then please feel free to pop me an email or send me a bug report via the feed back form on the site.
cheers for the nice words

Yay Phood, imba guildie :p
theRaptor Sep 14th 2009 11:03PM
Because anything found in the "statistics" tab on the Armory is accurate?
You have to be kidding. PVP stats on The Armory have never been accurate, even back in mid-BC. I remember having 3 HK, and an 1800 Arena team according to The Armory on a character with exalted with AV who had never stepped into an arena.
This site looks interesting but as we programmers say: Garbage in. Garbage out.
Phood Sep 15th 2009 6:50AM
theRaptor I certainly agree with some of what your saying. In the relativly short time I have been looking at the armory statistics there are some that clearly stand out as being inaccurate.
however in regards to this site there are only 2 stats that I have looked at that are consistantly innacurate: killing blows, and there are no stats for deaths for the new bg Isle of conquest. I don't currently use death stats (although I do record them), but I do use KB's (wich I will be removing at some not too distant point in the future, due to it's inaccuracy).
The other stats that I have used, when I have tested them, seem to be consistantly pretty sound. I don't know the precise date that the armory stats date back to but you have to bare in mind that they aren't the complete stats for the whole history of your character.

You couldn't have timed making this site any better. I just recently started to focus on arena/pvp and this site looks awesome.
I even like the copyright.

made me :) a bit

Dang, I was so proud of my 20 killing blows/BG :P Until I realized my warrior tank also had 20 killing blows/BG. I like the site!
