My most memorable moment is moreso in retrospect, rather than being memorable at that point in time. It was perhaps a month or so after TBC had been released and I'd rolled a blood elf mage. I had some friends on the server from other places but didn't see them THAT often; except for a couple of dungeon runs I'd mostly solo'd, and my mage was level 20-ish.
One day I was just sitting alone in the Ruins of Lordaeron, feeling faintly glum IRL which also translated in-character (I play on a RP server). A random belf warlock happened past and decided to stop and chat with my character (again, in-character chatting). I didn't think much of it at that moment beyond, "Hey, cool, random roleplay with someone who seems fairly bright." It was a rather enjoyable spot of random RP conversation.
In 9 days that warlock's player and I will be getting married IRL. :)
