If you're a paladin don't use DI to get someone the achievement as it will kill you in the process. Instead just use 'Hand of Protection' to make your target invulnerable to physical harm.

HoP doesnt stop fall damage sadly. Only DS or DI are gonna do it.

HoP does indeed protect from fall damage. As I have been using it as my default "omg I'm about to be a pancake" button for the last two years, I can gaurantee it. Infact, my priest buddy got his "Going Down?" achievement by me casting it on him. Granted, I miss-clicked the first time and sent him plummeting to his doom with Hand of Freedom on, but he eventually forgave me.It's odd how so many people (even paladins) don't think it blocks fall damage, even my guild's class leader argued with me until he tried it for himself.

Yep, I got everyone in my guild the 'going down' achievement by using hop.

i could've sworn you could not pop DS as a pally then try to mount. yet here i am like like a monkeyball on a horse completely smashed off thunderbrew. alcohol makes you do some crazy sh!t

HoP does work, but DI is so much more fun (and doesn't add to your repair bill).

I got really drunk, ok, ok, really smashed and used HoP jumping over the elevator in Shat. I didn't know if using a bubble would still allow the achievement but it did. Got that one and going down at the same time. It's so weird being a drunk pally, but it's all in good fun. hehe
