Of course, if you're just one to take it a bit more casually, there's nothing wrong with that either. There's plenty of fun to be had. If you're heading down to Coren Direbrew's place for a shot at a mount or trinket, be sure to check out some of the other fun stuff at the Grim Guzzler.
Also worth noting is that we should see a lot of Violet Protodrakes popping up in game today, especially with the removal of the Brew of the Year achievement. My main is a Death Knight, so I'll have to wait for Hallow's End, but if you were dilligent with your achievements last year, it should be pretty simple to get that drake on Sunday.
But with all that said, it's down to the discussion. I'm interested to hear what your Brewfest plans are. Are you going to be going full bore for Brewmaster? Are you expecting to get your Violet Protodrake before Brewfest is over? Are you going to treat it a bit more casually? Are you ignoring the achievements and just focusing on Coren's mounts? Or are you just going to stay out of the whole thing and hold a real life Brewfest of your own?

This whole event would be more fun if the silly half-hourly Dark Iron Invasion thing wasn't bugged to hell. On my server, you cannot hit a single dwarf with a mug unless you stand inside their hitbox (which is next to impossible because they knock you away).

For what it's worth, with enough people you can still overcome this. Many servers have (just not mine, unfortunately). The kick isn't AoE, so put multiple people on each one and you should be fine. Just never assume someone else will get one for you.
People on my server are also saying that this doesn't effect Horde, but I cannot confirm that.

Tanked Coren this morning. First time I ever did it. Kodo dropped, but I lost the roll. Same with the remote. Got one of the stam trinkets though.

I dont know about anyone else, but Eitrigg is having a problem with the tossing the mugs part. There is no ranged throw so u got to run right up on the dwarf to throw your mug to hit him or else its just flying into the wind and you cant protect the ale. Then you got to run back to the table to pick up another mug because you were not at the table to throw it the first time and it doesnt auto refill when your not at a table. If they dont fix it soon, the dark iron dwarfs will never be stopped.

As it turns out Blizz could have left the brew of the month achievement in, as we've looped around and gotten the ones we didn't get credit for when 3.0 dropped (I got my Brew of the Year achievement when we got Binary Brew again last month).
The achievements we didn't get were the drunken defending of the Brewfest and the defeating of Coren.
Disturbing the peace I got the day I got to Dalaran for the first time (I knew it was coming and saved the clothes)
The one thing I'm worried about this year is whether latency will foul with my ram racing. Last year I did it with a latency 2000.
We'll see.

that was supposed to read last year I did it with latency (less than) 100. This year it is (greater than) 2000

Brew of the Year wasn't removed from the meta-achievement because players didn't getting credit for Binary Brew. Blizzard has adopted a policy that all holiday achievements that contribute to a holiday's meta-achievement should be completable within the span of that holiday - which Brew of the Year is not.

maybe it's just me but the ram racing doesn't seem repeatable...only the barking ram is.

You can do it again the guy just doesnt have a quest icon above his head.
Does anyone know what the total number of tokens that can be achieved per day is? i get about 8 on average from the ram keg quests 15 from barking 15 from invasion...is there anything else?

The "ram racing", AKA keg runs, is on a 12/18 hour cooldown. It's not technically a quest, just an option to get more tokens via deliveries.

@Sam: How are you getting 26? Am I just lagging? I know I'm doing it right because I have a system, I'm minimizing the bushels of apples I have to hit and taking straight lines but I'm still only getting 16-20.

Got my 310% proto last night. :). I planned ahead last year and bought the clothes, etc. so I wouldn't have to wait.

But only a little. I didn't really know this toon was going to be my main until Hallows End so I still need all the clothes, but everything else is done. In a few days I'll have my proto:)

I got my drake last night. woohoo! Now I can finally relax on the holidays again. That's an even bigger WOOHOO!!
My guild had a lot of nerdrage floating around last night based on: 1 - our instance server is 2 hours behind the time zone of our regular time so nobody could do the Coren achievement until 2:01, and 2. the pinkness of the 310% drake - all the guys were flailing around with how horribly ugly it was, and all the girls were besides themselves with glee over the cuteness.

I too am looking forward to relaxing on holidays again... I would always get so nervous that I'd screw it up somehow (especially now that I'm so durned close!! ^^;)

I just finished Brewmaster on two toons! (I love being able to pick up the same dark iron cog on multiple toons.) One got the drake (yay!) but the other has to wait till Winterveil.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned the nerf/fix to the keg runs... Instead of dropping off as many barrels as you could (like the first 2 years), now it's just turning in 3 barrels in 4 minutes for 10 tokens. Ridiculously easy now, and I suppose a fair average of what ppl were getting. In years past, if I wasn't paying attention or had lag issues with the barrels or apples, I'd get around 8, but most of the time I could get 12. On the bright side, the adding of time made that 4 min quest nearly 10 minutes! o_O So overall, I'm glad they streamlined it the way they did.
Good luck to everyone in getting all that you want out of Brewfest!! (Just 100 more tokens for me for the new pink elekk.)
And to answer someone else... I believe you can earn 45 tokens a day by doing the keg run twice (10x2), the advertisement run (15) and the dark iron invasion (10). And then there's 90 freebie tokens from doing the beer mug throw (10), elekk quest (40) and turning in the Direbrew keg (40).
