Those awesome folks at
SwagDog, who sponsor our
Guild of the Month Contest, have released a new guild icon shirt design that is much simpler than their original one. Some folks like
Alex really like it, and since the man has good taste, chances are you guys just might, too. That's not the only good news, though. The deal is that those guys at SwagDog have given WoW.com readers a sweet 15% discount when ordering one of these babies (the shirt, guys, the
shirt). All you have to do is use the promo coupon
wowicon15 when you checkout.
The bad news is that that code is just good enough for today, the last day of SwagDog's cool 48-hour WoW.com promo. These shirts are fully customizable, and even though they're supposed to be guild icons, you can actually customize your own design using one of the game's many fun icons. While skulls and crossbones or dragons and axes might be cool, you can just as easily use a crying bear for that kawaii factor. Or a beer mug. It's
Brewfest, after all. What're you waiting for? You've only got a few hours left! Get hopping, people!

Ugh, who seriously buys this stuff and wears it outside, in front of others? You have to be out of your mind to spend your hard earned money on this garbage.

I’d have to agree. The jinx stuff is kind of cool and has some nice designs that while sometimes extremely geeky, still look like something that’s contemporary and tasteful. I like wearing my alliance hoodie around in public. People who don’t know what WoW is like the design and those who do know what WoW is get a kick out of meeting another player.
However, the shirts above just look downright ugly. The only place I could imagine wearing them would be at a real-life guild event. Aside, from that the significance is lost on people who aren’t in your guild and the shirt is just blatantly unattractive to those who don’t play this game.

It's all a matter of opinion, isn't it? I liked how the design looked with my Guilds emblem (Brass Knuckles). I don't see why anyone should be ashamed, or anything of the sort, to wear these "outside". And as far as the "significance being lost on people who aren't in the Guild", why does it matter how someone else is going to view the shirt?? o.O
...
and yes. I bought one for me as well as my girlfriend.

If you have an ugly tabard, talk to your guildmaster and tell him no one likes that stupid Japanese demon oni thing he picked when he was 16. That fixes most of the issue with the shirts.

Oh, the things I would do to that blonde chick.
jfofla Sep 23rd 2009 3:42PM
What sizes does the blonde come in?
Virgoninja Sep 23rd 2009 4:34PM
Man, she is so hot.
