Around Azeroth: The cat who walks through walls
Darodar of Bleeding Hollow is fighting the disturbing trend of feline illiteracy spreading through Azeroth. Unfortunately, Darodar will never live up to the example of his brother, Dewey Readmore Books. At least he's got my cats beat. Their only interaction with books involves pulling them off the shelves and eating the pages at two in the morning.
Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see them on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. Please include the word "Azeroth" in your post so it does not get swept into the spam bin. We strongly prefer full screen shots without the UI showing -- use alt-Z to remove it. Please, no more battleground scoreboards, gold seller ads with deadgnomes any race at all, or pictures of the Ninja Turtles in Dalaran.

Something is wrong with that picture: The cat isn't lying on the book.
admiraljustin Sep 25th 2009 10:28AM
well, noone told it it couldn't go through walls.

One of the things I love about books is how one of the only, if not THE only, explanations for why Lord Pixel can walk through walls is given in a book by a different author.
(Spider Robinson's _Callahan's Key_, for those keeping score at home, in an exchange between Jake Stonebender [narrator/protagonist] and his daughter [adopted, but still...] Erin.)
"Dad, why do you think he can do that?"
"He's very young, and no one's ever told him he can't do it."

Jane Libby offers the same explanation in the original book. ;) "It's impossible but he's so young he doesn't know it's impossible, so he does it anyhow."

Wow, nice Heinlein reference!

He's not reading, he's just getting ready to eat that book. The difference between him and your cat is that he's classy, he sits at the table to eat.

This post is made of win, partially for referencing Heinlein, and partially for subtly referencing the "What are you doing cat you can't read. You are a cat you just look ridiculous" meme.

I wonder if the Lillian Jackson Braun reference was intentional.

I too immediately thought of her series (my mother reads them) but I think in this one it's for Heinlein.

Corporal Ted Bronson would approve of this post.

No one else thought of Professor McGonagall? She transfigures into a cat.
