Breakfast Topic: What do you want to see in Icecrown Citadel?

We've actually learned very little about it so far. We got Ghostcrawler admitting there's not 31 bosses, and a few other BlizzCon tidbits, but beyond that, what do we know?
The other day, Zarhym at least gave us a small hint or two, saying that the 5-man dungeons would be epic and essential to the overall fight against Arthas, that they would be separate content from the raids, and that neither dungeons nor raids (Thank Elune) would have vehicular or mounted combat (the airship battle will not be a vehicle fight, it seems).
Of course, that does give us hope, but doesn't get us to the meat of the dungeon so to speak. So I'm sort of wondering: What do you want or expect to see in Icecrown Citadel, both the raids and the dungeons? Are there certain bosses or boss encounters you want to see? What type of storylines would you think epic enough for the 5 mans? I'm still hoping for the completely ignoble, futile death of Tirion Fordring, but that could just be me.

The Black Knight...again.
Who needs a ghost form to continue his assault?
Agerath Sep 25th 2009 9:52AM
TRASH. And lots of it.

Fighting the Black Knight again would be lame. I mean, what would be left to fight:
We biatch-slapped him when he was alive
We killed him when he was undead.
We knocked him silly as a skeleton.
We beat his spirit into the ground.
I mean, come on!
Fighting the Black Knight again is just redundant. And it would make the Lich King look lame too. Whenever we killed one of his leaders, the Lich King was like "FU! You failed." And look at how many chances the Black Night already got! Bottom of the barrel folks.

A raid boss that actually feels like a raid boss, would be nice!
A boss with perpetual dmg, like bloodboil.
A keying quest to be able to engage the final bosses,
no "optional" bosses.
A Rep to be ground.
Items that will remain viable past lvl 83.
The FrostMourne.
2 mounts.
No Vehicle bosses.

@mtsadowski
Well isn't that the POINT of the reference?!

All that's missing is the bridge...

The Lich King.
Valt Sep 25th 2009 8:36AM
Oh I didnt see that oone coming!
In all seriousness.. I know we all know this but maybe not think about it on top of the list. They've been part of almost every Scourge thing in Aezoroth and been majorly involved in this expansion secretly and sometimes showing off.
Scarlet crusade.
I would like to see their "end" in someway. I mean what would they do after Lich King is destroyed? Hang around normally and still spread like plague in cataclysm? Im pretty damn sure they are also 3rd party attackers besides Alliance and Horde, stealthy may that be. Then again they could join Deathwing or some other baddie and Ebon blade would have reason to continue battle like forsaken found reason to battle after Lich Kings destruction(?)....yeah.. I think I gave idea to Blizzard now..

I personally want the Lich King to apologize.
Erin Sep 28th 2009 1:23PM
@Valt Killing Arthus won't kill the Lich King. The Lich King was here long before arthus and will likely be around after.
Tarragon Sep 25th 2009 1:14PM
Not only do I want to see the lich king, but I want him to kill my raid, raise us as ghouls, then send us at Tirion Fordring so we can rip him limb from limb for making us go through the Argent Tournement. Then I want to go get a drink with the lich king.

I'm hoping for 11 Jormungars.
Killchrono Sep 25th 2009 10:05AM
Not eleven....but TWELVE jormungar worms!
flawless Sep 25th 2009 11:28AM
A progressive fight that gets harder each wipe.
Starts off with a pretty good fight, pretty interesting with good bosses "Jormungar's Eleven"
Then, theres a second fight, where things are rehashed a bit, with a new boss added in to spice things up, but it doesn't really work. "Jormungar's Twelve"
Then there's a cash-in fight, where it's all a joke and even the bosses realise it.
Guess what it's called?
Nazgûl Sep 25th 2009 3:48PM
Flawless, you got it all wrong.
Eleven is like Sartharion: interesting instance, something new, but it gets tired after a while.
Twelve is like Sarth+2D. The stakes are higher and it's a bit tougher, but it really isn't what it promised and ends up disappointed.
Thirteen, then, is like Sarth 3D. An excellent comeback considering the faceroll that was +1 and +2.

I want to fight alongside hogger, wielding ashkandi while kicking the old onyxia in the face.
And when i see it happen, my mom will be sorry she doubted me.

And also we will see Kael'thalas riding Anub'arak who summons images of Illidan, Princess from Maraudon and an ugly Zul'Jin in every phase.
When Anub drops to 1% HP he emerges into the ground (will be back in next expansion) and when Kael eventually beaten down to 1% - he calls on help and Lord Kazzak pulls him out from the room via hole in the ceiling, put him on the shoulder, pets and screams: "Arr, we will be back mortals, all will perish" The reward chest will have [Green Kael Balls] that will create [Valanyr's Deep Penetrator] when you merge 25 of those.
Kuno Sep 25th 2009 10:59AM
Almost forgot!
And also I want to see a pre LK boss: a huge (like Fel R-er) undead Ghost of the Crab, that casts weakness and diseases on a whole raid called "Nerf of the Immortal" and then summons tons of undead ponies with glowing eyes and yell "Pwnd" every time a raid member gets killed...
natron2e Sep 25th 2009 8:12AM
me! :)

Personally, what I want out of Icecrown is more of a "what I don't want to see." I really don't want us to kill the Lich King, because I can't buy it being possible. Sure, he is (arguably) still mortal, but he's reached a level of power simply unfathomable. That, combined with how utterly iconic he is, I would much rather see him "crushed and defeated, slinking back into the shadows to regroup" than dead.
That said, I do want to see Falric and Marwyn in there to some capacity, they've been along for the ride since the Lich King was Arthas first setting foot in Northrend, yet I haven't seen either hide nor hair of them anywhere... Also, Anub'arak would be awesome to see.
"Seriously? How the hell do you keep getting back up?"
