And when will Cold Weather Flying and Artisan Flying be reduced? Its about time the prices of those (which are an absolute ripoff) are reduced.1) You can't expect most level 70s, or even 80s, to have 5000g lying around. 5000g is very time consuming to farm even at 80, and just for a flying mount that doesn't move at the rate of a snail (not so true since they buffed the moving speed of the normal one)2) 1000g for the ability to actually fly in Northrend is steep, considering how reliant you are on flying around the damm place, plus the costs of training abilities, and gear too... Why was the prequest to get Cold Weather flying removed just for the game to say to players "Grats on 77, 1000 gold please."

5000g is perfectly and easily attainable before level 80. I had epic flying in my early/mid 70s while I was still working on Loremaster for Outlands. I hadn't even touched Northrend quests at all. I didn't farm stuff to sell. I did the quests, I always got the items from quest rewards that sold to vendor for the most if I wasn't going to use them, and I auctioned like mad. Yes. That's right. I said the dirty word. AH.Why are so many people afraid to use the AH? I've had over 80k gold on my main, and a full half of that is from the auction house. If it's green, blue, or anything remotely usable by a crafting profession, auction it. Maybe if people stopped being lazy and did that instead of vending stuff, they'd have more gold flying around. I popped to Northrend when I finished Northrend, dinged 77 not terribly long after, and by the time I did that I had another 1k gold. From auctions. And no, I don't spend all day on the AH price comparing and reselling. I simply sell what I get as loot. I loot everything. I vend what I can't auction. If you take the absolute fastest path to level 80, meaning you skip a ton of the content in the process, this is what happens. It's a trade-off. You can level somewhat more slowly, solo, and easily attain the gold required for those skills relatively quickly. Or you can plow to 80 as fast as possible, and get there without the gold to even fly around Northrend. I don't mean to be harsh, but I've watched a good chunk of my guild sit in this boat, and it's frustrating.

It is unreasonable to expect a new, fresh 60 to know just how much the AH can help them, and just how to make so much money. You have a lot of gold. Good for you. Seriously, no sarcasm, I'm happy for you. Me? Not so much.A brand new, fresh level 60 will not have 600 gold or more unless he is an exceptional player or had friends giving him lots of tips (that he followed). Many new players make the same common mistakes (in terms of maximising gold): not taking two gathering professions, buying gear from the Ah that will soon be outlevelled, vendoring things that they have no use for. It's unreasonable to expect a new player to know as much about the game as a vet, including how to make a lot of gold. Not to mention with the levelling speed being constantly increased through things like RAF, heirloom items, and the like; levelling is getting faster and faster. It's unreasonable to expect a player to stick around questing in an area that either is or will soon be grey simply to finish every single quest for maximum gold. There are several zones I skip altogether because by the time I'm done with, say, HFP and Zangar, I'm already of level to go straight to Nagrand (65, sometimes 66 even). That means no Terrokar.I have alts. I don't want nor enjoy doing every single quest on every single alt. I don't want nor enjoy spending months levelling a single alt. Yes, I want to take the fastest possible route to 80. Most people do, and since that's how most people play that's whom Blizzard caters to. That's why they lowered the cost, and I applaud them for it. More gold to do with what I want? Awesome. Maybe I can buy bigger bags, or put it away towards epic flight.Judging by your logic, it wouldn't be unreasonable to charge 50k gold for epic flying. Since you had well over that at one point. I can tell you with absolute certainty I will never see that kind of gold in this expansion, unless major changes are made to the amount of gold you get through questing, like the change from vanilla to TBC (where an epic land mount in vanilla was an awesome feat to show off, and now most folks have thousands of gold with nothing to do with it at max level.)I don't enjoy dailies. I don't enjoy playing the AH. I don't enjoy farming. I'm not thinking "How can I maximize my gold?" while I'm levelling. And I don't think the average player is, either.
