We recorded our latest podcast last Saturday afternoon, and it was a good one -- not only did we have Eddie "Brigwyn" Carrington and Turpster on from here at WoW.com, but we welcomed two special guests: Fimlys and Nibuca from the Twisted Nether Blogcast. They were on to talk about their podcast and what they do with Twisted Nether, as well as their new Azeroth United project and what they'll be doing with that in the future. And of course, after we introduced everybody, we sat down and chatted about the most popular stories from the last week in Warcraft, including Brewfest and Onyxia, as well as patch 3.2.2 and the bugs contained therein. Enjoy the show.
And if you've heard something you'd like to respond to on the show, feel free to drop us a note via email -- the address is theshow@wow.com. We'll see you next Saturday as usual, thanks for listening!

Welfare? You wanna know what's welfare? The Rusted Proto Drake...
Yea, it's really hard to find 10 people in ilvl 245 gear to go back and rape old content's hard modes. Give me a break.
You can be elitist if you managed the Black or Plagued Proto Drakes...maybe even the Iron-Bound. But seeing people who just barely got their Rusted drakes scoff at my Violet one just makes me pissed.
Violet = 1 full year of waiting/doing seasonal achievements
If its so easy why didnt you just find 9 other people and get one yourself?
While I will admit that a lot of the bosses in ulduar are fairly easy, fights such as firefighter and one light prevent your average group from just walking in and getting the drakes.
Although your violet proto-drake is a great tribute to your dedication, I assure you that many of the players riding rusted drakes have put in just as much time as you. They just did it 1 clear at a time with their friends.
10 and 25 man achievements say more about your friends than they do about you personally - a good chunk of elite raiding is about getting the same people/classes together each week. Most of the holiday achievements were solo endeavors, and some of them (childrens week) were really quite painful, and some required a great deal of luck.
Anyhow all the people I know who have both the naxx drakes and the ulduar drakes got them in far less time, with a lot less pain.
I guess the only way to look at it really, is to when the people actually obtained the drakes by their achievements. I know I did all the Ulduar 10-man hard modes first week of July, before 3.2 came out, and of that I am proud to know I did it when it wasn't ridiculously easy (even though it was pretty easy).
I wonder when they'll remove them. Hopefully soon, as all the 245 gear is like giving them away now. Many people on my server have them.
You can pay guilds to run through and get you a Rusted P-D. You can't pay some one to make sure you accomplish every holiday meta/title for an entire year.
If the rusted is easy enough that people can literally drag inexperienced players through and get them the damn thing, it's just as easy if not easier to get.
This X-mas, I'm gonna be getting a Violet. It took dedication. A different kind of dedication than a raid 310 but, dedication none the less.
When I see someone with a better mount than me, I think "Wow, good for them." I don't sit around grasping, desperately, at any reason to belittle their accomplishment. If someone payed a guild or earned every holiday title, makes absolutely no difference to me. I have a cool Violet mount. I earned it, I'm proud of it.
If some SoB man-child is bitter over it? Fuck 'em.

Wellfare mounts FTW

It was always my theory that Blizzard wants everyone to have a 310% mount so they don't have to figure out how to recreate the riding crop.

You weren't the only one who was stressed trying to get it Turp! x]
