Hot off the forums comes word from Bornaak that Brewfest, that celebration of things like drinking, throwing mugs at invaders, and
killing an unwashed Dark Iron Dwarf in hopes that he drops a kodo
has been extended two days to October 5th. If, like me, you've been farming him for days only to pass the Kodo to your wife because, well, you love her and want her to be happy (and also you know you're doomed if you don't) then you'll celebrate additional chances to whack him in hopes of Kodo. Or deadly beer stein. Or maybe you just like doing
Ram Riding, or got a late start on your tickets. Whatever the reason we can all celebrate the extension of this, our yearly excuse to go back to BRD and kill a dwarf to steal his lucky cha... er, I mean
trinkets.
Now get cracking,
make every second of those two extra days count. Complete your Achievements, get your loots, whatever you need you have more time.

I think it would be neat if there was some sort of character/vehicle upgrade system, or even skills for certain classes that worked (only?) when they were in a certain vehicle or any vehicle. Sort of like glyphs or some totally new system where a person can upgrade their vehicle prowess while in a vehicle.

This fair enough I guess to extend, but the holiday IS two weeks already. Hopefully this change will mean they might extend something like... oh... Love Is In The Air which is only 5 days long and requires some *serious* grinding to get done. I did do it anyway so this isn't a QQ but seriously... 5 days!

I'm very happy about this!
I have been able to get an average of 25 tokens a day for the unofficial daily "Beer Run quest" as Alliance. Yet on the same server, my Horde toons have been struggling to get more than 10 tokens! It seems that when picking up the keg, I can be about 15 yards away on Alliance, and 5-10 yards when dropping it off.
As Horde, I have to be within 5-10 to pick up the keg, but the frustrating part is dropping it off. I have gone right past the drop off point, within 5 yards of the goblin, even made a circle around him, and I still wasn't able to drop off the keg - making it so that I lose precious seconds (up to 15 per drop off), as I do a second loop around the guy! So, an extra 2 days is very welcomed!
Thank you Blizzard - because 2 days didn't fix the issue, but it can help players like me to get those few tokens we would have gotten otherwise :)

Even if your horde toons can only get ~35 tokens a day, adding in the 100 you got at the beginning of the holiday and multiplying by 14, that's still 590 tokens... enough for brew of the month, enough for buying the clothes for the "disturbing the peace" achievement, and enough for a pink elekk pet if you can sell the clothes back to the vendor.

"If, like me, you've been farming him for days only to pass the Kodo to your wife because, well, you love her and want her to be happy (and also you know you're doomed if you don't)..."
This is why I'm glad my gf doesn't play video games.

The Kodo drop-rate sucks period. It has dropped a lot less now than last year. I've seen only two this year and last year I saw 4 drops. This year, with a select group of 4 players and one who already had it, I had a 1/3 chance for the mount and lost both times to my friend and her husband.
Maybe you guys who are running with select groups can see a little problem though that I'm having with my small group that's trying for the kodo. See attached long story below:
We decided to run with a select group of friends this year to avoid loot dropping and going to random guild mates who once they get their mount refuse to go back.
My friend dual boxes, so she's in there with two characters who do NOT switch out at all. She only has one level 80 on each account and she sits them the entire time we're in the instance and greeds on everything. Last year we decided that everyone would get ONE roll only and foolishly I thought she was smart enough and NOT selfish enough to forget that rule, but no, she rolled on both alts... -_-+ Lucky for us, we remembered to wait and roll need on items we needed as upgrades as oppose to items she was collecting (she rolled for that dagger with attack power on her a shadow priest? Um?)
We mention when we ‘need' on an item that is an upgrade so that she doesn't think we're ninjing stuff that's a rightful upgrade to us. We made sure that everyone had a chance on the new boe that's dropping. So that everyone has 2 a piece.
So far only 2 kodos dropped. As my fiancée got his last year, it was left to a 3 way roll... both my friend and her husband to be got the kodo, and me with low rolls of 13 and 42 lost both times to their 94 and 99. (And then she goes on to say, who will get the next kodo when it drops as if I didn't count towards it. -_-+)
As you can understand my frustration of being the person who has 6 summons (six alts) and she just sits there, but I was still willing to come back. However, I was extremely pissed off when her attitude changed from being helpful to being selfish. Now that she got hers, she who could sit the entire time in the instance and greed roll everything that dropped just cuz she could (she admited this too), she wanted to rush and get this done as soon as possible... going so far as to start saying idiotic things like, "Don't say I'm not helpful, I got you this *fill in the blank*" completely neglecting to notice that I helped her get all her trinkets, weapons, mounts (both kodo and ram) on her two alts that were sitting there the entire time - greeding everything. Both her alts got the remotes this year because she kept rolling for them.
I'm now wondering if she and her husband to be have some sort of add-on or something because their rolls are ALWAYS high rolls. I know this isn't really possible, but you have to wonder about this when they win about 95% of the loot with such high rolls.
And on another note I am perfectly willing to use all my summons and to continue to come back and help my friends get their stuff... I have no problem doing that as it is only fair, but my qualm is with this selfish attitude that she got all her stuff and the rest of us can go f- off now. So between her 2 sitting alts, and her husband's 3, and then there's my 6 and my fiancee 7, you do the math on who is going to profit more?
I expect her to be gracious to us for helping giving her so many chances at mount drops and remotes and for me keeping the group alive when she fails to tank on her druid properly. I don't expect or need to hear stupidity of her saying "I thought we agreed you wouldn't stay on as one character the entire time" when in fact I was switching alts repetitively to give them more summons. (And in case you're wondering, she asked me to stay on that character for 1 day worth of tries because she knew I wanted the remote on my main. SHE INSISTED that I say on when I was going to just simply switch over to an alt... and I still came in and used my summons on my alts for her and her husband so it seems stupid to hear accusations like that when she's being the greedy one.) It's like arguing with a little illogical kid who blames you for stuff they did. I'm switching alts to give you more summons, how is that STAYING on the same alt? This is where most of you would be like, "Um free summon for us to get a chance on mount, why am I arguing with this?"
Don't get me wrong, I don't mind bringing in my summons and trying to make sure we all have a shot at something, but her attitude of "me me me" is driving me bonkers. I'm starting to wish I had won that kodo drop so that I could prove to her what a real friend is by coming back and helping others without giving so called bad attitude. As it is, her attitude is so draining I'm starting to think I don't want to ever come and may just give up on that kodo.

That freaking kodo and the other mount BOTH dropped in one pug and I didn't freaking win either one. Also the remote dropped and the same person who won the kodo got the remote.
F*CK RNG. Seriously.... that's a 3 in 5 chance to get either of those drops and I didn't get a single one. It's really discouraging.
Of course of the dozens of times I went in there with both my 80 hunter and 80 warrior, that was the only time either mount has dropped.
So yeah...I guess a couple more days of them NOT dropping is good. :-\
..end of bitter rant.

there was a comment above that said to buy the preserved hops so that you could whip out the ram or the kodo all year round, REMEMBER that the presereved hops have a ONE TIME USE even though it says it has a one minute CD. you get ONE USE that you can use whenever you want, but it doesn't allow you to have a "free" kodo or ram to use all year.
and yes i will take the jeers if it got changed after 3.2.2 but nothing that i have read has said that they stick around for longer than 1 charge.
just an FYI
SamLowry Oct 1st 2009 7:26PM
The preserved hops disappear from your inventory once you use it. That's it, one-time use, so for your 20 coins you get a mount-overlay for an hour.
Dragundam Oct 1st 2009 1:21PM
*sigh* Seen the kodo three times now, lost all three. Losing hope, especially after the last time, when the pug tank rolled on it, then proceeded to gloat over the rest of us that now he had both the ram and the kodo. The rest of us had neither. At least he stuck around to finish the rest of the fights. All goddamned trinkets. My hunter has her DPS, the shanker, plus the two maidens, and my paladin has all three, one for every spec and the two maidens. No remote or mounts.
I want to be happy about having two Brewmaster titles, but really, that's not what I wanted. I don't even like drinking.

The hot forum from word Brewfest, matter that celebration likes Bornaak which drinks, throws robs in the invader, and killed darkness hard dwarf who the hope has not washed he to drop kodo to October 5 to extend for two days. If, looks like me, you' Farms he several day-long ve only through Kodo to your wife, because, is very good, you love her, and wants her is happy (and you know you' Is doomed again, if your don' t) then you' ll celebrates other opportunity to hit hard him to hope Kodo.
Or fatal beer beer mug.
Possibly or you likely make the ram to ride a horse or to obtain in a yours ticket late start. Any reason we possibly completely celebrate this's extension, our yearly excuse returns to BRD, and kills the dwarf to steal his lucky cha…, I do not mean the small ornament.

I got the stupid Brew of the Month membership in Sept last year, but the Sept and Oct brews didn't count to my achievement. Now I'm one brew short, the October one, because the membership expired already.
