He said it was the first encounter that FELT like a raid check. He did not say it was THE first encounter.

Actually this is the 2nd encounter after Northrend Beasts and before Faction Champions.

If you read the whole sentence he said it was the first fight that felt like a raid check, not the first fight of the raid.
