Diablo, you won't think it's cool when you reach the stable equilibrium for BGs (i.e., everyone stops playing). If you encourage only winning, then losers (on your side or not) will lose more and more as they will be less able than winners to upgrade gear and increase chances for future winning. Then the losers will play less and less because there is zero chance for reward, and then the winners will have difficulty finding anyone to play with. You must also encourage trying, not only winning, so that you can better hover around the unstable equilibrium for BGs (i.e., being able to get a good game going whenever you want).
