Patch 3.3 PTR: Behold Quel'Delar

If you remember back to our Quel'Delar post (I know it was a different world back then) here's the sword itself, according to World of Raids. The sword definitely appears to bear a certain kinship to Quel'Serrar in terms of its appearance. We've also had reports in the comments that the Quel'Delar quest chain involves the Sunwell in some way - picking up where patch 2.4 left off, perhaps? The more we learn about this sword, the more interesting it becomes. Is it a trick of the Lich King? The famous Runeblade left behind by the Sunstrider dynasty? As of yet, all we have are tantalizing glimpses. I personally hope to get to see more soon.

It sounds like an Arthurian "sword in the stone" questline, where the chosen one pulls it out the ice.

"The famous Runeblade left behind by the Sunstrider dynasty?"
If one more person suggest that I'm going to kill some bitches.
That was "Flamestrike." "Felo'melorn." That is not this. This is not that. Stop :(

Why can't it be 2h, it would be time 2h wielders get some love from swords. Ony uglies up there with exception of Aesir's edge and Oblivion, but those are not so accsessible.
This should be 2h sword if it said to be inheritance of Sunstriders bloodline. Sunstriders wielded 2h sword.
Yes, it is very much like Excalibur story if you look at it.

That's Felo'melorn (Flamestrike), which *should* have been used, since it was last seen being used by Kael in Icecrown, holding its own against Frostmourne.

"If you know the blade's history, you recall that it was borne by Thalorien Dawnseeker in defense of the Sunwell against the Scourge. He fell in what is now the Dead Scar, buying time for his men to make their own preparations. You will find his remains near the southern end of the Dead Scar on this isle. Visit them, and if his spirit gives you its blessing, I will allow you to enter the Sunwell. "
"Visit Thalorienn Dawnseeker's Remains and obtain his blessing to wield Quel'Delar, then return to Halduron Brightwing near the entrance to the Sunwell."

Reading over other quests in the database, you retrieve the blade (likely) from The Forge of Souls. Upon finding the hilt you seek out the aid of other figures (Silver Covenant, Sunreavers, Krasus) and discover the blade is Quel'Delar. Interestingly there are some quests about spying/sneaking into the Silver Covenant.
Then you go to Quel'Delar's Rest outside the Colliseum who send you to the Pit of Saron to reforge the sword. After reforging the sword you discover it is possessed by the Lich King, and wills you to the Halls of Reflection.
[Speculation] Within the Halls of Reflection you will encounter the spirit of Uther [/Speculation] who tells you that "will not always be able to control the blade while it is subject to the evil of the Lich King's influence" And you are sent to the Sunwell to cleanse the blade.
Upon arriving at the Sunwell, you are sent to find the remains of Thalorienn Dawnseeker, to seek his blessing in cleansing and claiming ownership of the sword. You are granted this and enter the Sunwell and cleanse the sword.
There are other points within the quests that point out other political characters (the Regent of Quel'thalas actually) will try to dissuade you from cleansing the sword (perhaps to have it for themselves).
Another interesting quest I found:

You are to seek out Arthas' discarded hammer, Light's Vengeance, and Runeforged Saronite to Highlord Mograine's runeforge in Icecrown Citadel for "something"
