Now this is neat: brand-new totem artwork has been spotted on the patch 3.3 PTR for troll shamans by extremely excited tipster Zjin. Previously, all Horde shamans shared a totem design, and draenei got their own space-themed totems when they were added. The new troll ones look appropriately voodoo, I think.
There are now at least three designs for the four different horde races; I wouldn't be surprised if orcs turned out to have their own as well. The current Horde totems fit tauren best of all the races. Once we here at WoW.com start making our way onto the PTRs, we'll bring you any more information we can find on possible new totems for the various races. In the mean time, I'll be in my bunk, doing designs for dwarf totems in my head.

The Orc one is a battleaxe, not a rattler. Didn't you see the sharp edges? I wouldn't give my babies any sharp-edged rattlers, but maybe the Orcs are just badass like that.

While the Troll totems are awesome, the Orc and Dwarf totems are not too shabby. What really surprises me is the absence of Tauren Totem QQ till now.
BTW any ideas as to what the Goblin Totems look like? Small geared contraptions i suppose.

Goblin totems are probably going to be geared contraptions, like you suggested. However, they won't have fire nova totem, because all goblin totems will explode after a set period of time.

Totally the Troll totem are the best. And the worst are the Dwarf's ones... Blizz can work a lil harder in the Dwarf's totem.

Dwarven totems? Did I miss something? I thought Dwarven Shaman was a race/class combo being added in 4.0 (aka Cataclysm)? Are there Dwarven Shaman on the PTR right now, or were these models just datamined?
Sorry, for some reason, the new race/class combos appeal to me a lot more than the current ones available... WTB Tauren Pally, Dwarven Shaman, and Troll Druid pl0x!

I'm going to go with the crowd on this.
Tauren totems now seems horrible.
Orc totems are meh.
Troll totems are AMAZING!
The dwarf ones are not all that great.
They need to make a consistent look here.
You have ONE race where the totems all look different in a way that a color blind individual would be able to notice. All the other races merely have colors to differentiate and that is not a great system when light blue and dark blue are 2 of them...
Simple fix:
Orc Axes change to be different shapes depending on the element. 1 bladed axe for earth, 2 for fire, squared off for wind and almost spearlike for water.
Tauren has different animals. Hawk for wind, dragon for fire, bear for earth and seal or turtle for water.
Trolls are perfect.
Space goats get different shaped pylons. er totems. Not even sure how to best change them except including crystals and such in different configurations.
Dwarves need anvils for earth, axe for fire, hammer for wind and shied for water.

These proposed Orc totems are terrible looking. I see wolves on the shield, why not change that and go bigger? A metal wolf head on each side of the totem itself, or a real wolf head on top. I don't know, maybe not, but please... something less plain.
