Reminder: Today is the last day of Brewfest
For example, even though you don't have to be wearing or drinking anything Brewfesty, you can only get the Drunken Stupor Achievement during the holiday. So go get virtually smashed and jump off a virtual bridge today, if you haven't already.
Many of you will not be able to get Brewmaster before midnight if you haven't been diligent with your daily token earning. I highly recommend, however, that you get as much done as you can this year so you have less to do next time around. Check out our Brewfest Guide for any Achievements you might have missed.
Warning: Tokens will not carry over into next year, so spend what you have today.
Good luck ...hic!

I got Brewmaster, and I'll be trying my luck for a kodo one last time as soon as I get home from work...
I've done Direbrew every single day of Brewfest. So far, 4 mount drops and 4 lost rolls. Hopefully today will be my lucky day!

Actually last year's tokens did not stay. If you had tickets from 2007 they stood around and you were able to exchange them for tokens. The first year they did brewfest you would get a lot more tickets and their was more stuff to buy including mounts. In fact if you purchased the handstamp in 2007 you can still buy both the slow and epic brewfest mounts. When they restructured brewfest in 2008 them made it so that you could earn enough tokens during the event to purchase what you needed. If they carried over to the following year it would be too easy.

Yay... one more day to get anywhere from 10-60 summons and see 10-60 times Corren getting looted and no mount dropping. Really wish they would do something like drop a piece of a Keg each time he dies, if you get 100 pieces, you can swap the keg in for a mount or something... Anything to make it more fair for the poor people like me that do this more than it should be allowed and get squat.
Trinkets are useless b.c I have better, the dagger and mace are nice for selling to vendors or on the AH, and who doesnt have the remote after 3 years?

Despite having some players being pantstains and fake-disconnecting when it was their turn to talk to Coren (yes, did ask around to see if they had been doing it with others) I was able to see a Brewfest ram and a Kodo drop - and luckily, won the roll on the Kodo. This was a couple of days after I'd completed my meta (still waiting on Sinister Calling and G.N.E.R.D. Rage for WALSTIB.
Here's hoping for the Horseman's Reins too - I really, really like that mount and would love to get it.

Just wondering, why wouldn't the tokens carry over next year? Last years tickets did (with the aid of an exchange NPC). Those Necrotic Runes from the Scourge Invasion (first time around) carried over to the Scourge Invasion (second time around) showing that Blizzard has reused currency before.
I may have missed a post where Blizzard explicitly stated they won't carry over. Just wondering.

My question too - they stayed around before...

"Warning: Tokens will not carry over into next year"
Please quote/link your source for this.

@peagle
The source being that when the event ends, the tickets disappear from your inventory?
The event is already over on Oceanic servers, and the tickets just went bye-bye as soon as the event was done.

I'm wondering the same thing. I'm focusing on getting my drake on my alliance hunter but have done some of the achievements on my horde mage. He's only 33 so obviously I can't take down Coren.
The tokens should carry over. What about those of us working on achievements that can't finish it until next year? Why should we have to start all over again.
Ves Oct 5th 2009 2:16PM
Because the tokens are now marked as "Requires Brewfest", so they vanish from your inventory as soon as brewfest is over.
Also, for anyone who couldn't get the 350 tickets, the good news for them is that due to the stupid "You can't reward people for getting drunk" laws, Disturbing the Peace is being removed from the Meta in 3.3, along with Strange Brew and Drunken Stupor, meaning the only token-based achievement left is Brew of the Month.

So when comes 3.3, I would have the meta-achievement and the title along with it?
Jamesisgreat Oct 5th 2009 2:20PM
" So go get virtually smashed and jump off a virtual bridge today, if you haven't already" - I like the way you added the virtually part in there, just in case... ;)
Leviathon Oct 5th 2009 2:24PM
Technically you can spend your tokens after the event at the corresponding vendor in each capital. For example the troll NPC next to the one that sells the monthly beer will still sell Brewfest things.

I SHOULD have gotten Brewmaster a couple days ago, but one of my friends guessed my password and thought it would be "funny" to sign me up for Brew of the Month when I was 1 coin off of getting the achievement IF I sold back the Brewfest regalia. ARGH! Now I'm about 40 coins short of the achievement because of the days I missed moving back to college.
I sent a ticket in to Blizz when I thought it was a hacker (later found out about friend)... and they still haven't gotten to me. I just hope that if they refund the Brew of the Month tickets like I asked, that they do it today or not at all, because then I'm royally screwed until next year.
jfofla Oct 5th 2009 2:29PM
Sharing accounts makes it pretty easy to "guess" your password.
Massdps88 Oct 5th 2009 2:55PM
Actually it was just too similar to my computer log in (which all my
friends know... yeah, stupid password choice is stupid). I have
trouble remembering passwords, but now my WoW one is pretty
unguessable, and now I'm putting an authenticator on my account.
Zanthexter Oct 5th 2009 4:14PM
Makes me apperciate yet again having my Authenticator!
Deadly. Off. Topic. Oct 5th 2009 2:24PM
If they didn't want to carry them over they should have put a damn "count down" on them like they did last year.
