I suspect that if you're the kind of raider who is in the kind of guild where your raid leader would seriously ask you to switch races, then you're the kind of raider who has already done the research about your optimal racials and are already planning to switch races as soon as the option becomes available (and you have the cash). Most people don't raid like that. Somehow I also see this more as something that avid PvP'ers will take advantage of.
