I never really notice problems with Blink. That's probably because the main problems with it would seem to come from PVP where you're trying escape from another player and I don't really do PVP. Escaping from certain death from an NPC with the help of Blink has seemed to work most of the time for me. The only time I have problems with the spell is when I have huge lag problems, where most of the time my character blinks backwards. I'm talking about two or more thousand milliseconds of lag.
I wish that they could change the spell to be able to blink in any direction depending on which way you are currently moving. I'm not even sure if that is possible code-wise, but it would be awesome to be able to use as a way to gain some distance from a mob kind of like a small kite. I think you can make a macro that turns your character 180 degrees, blinks and turns back around 180 degrees, but that implementation doesn't have the same effect. Also if you could blink in the direction your character is moving you could blink-strafe as well. What do you guys think of this? Does anyone have any idea if would be possible to implement? I might not have thought of any exploits that this might open up as well.

Firstly, I'm pretty damn sure that you can't make a game-legal macro that will turn your character for you. The same way that back in the day when jumping increased AoE radius, you couldn't have a macro to jump and cast at the same time. You just had to have some manual dexterity.
The same applies to your idea of Blink strafing; it is currently possible providing that you have the coordination to pull it off. I'm a little confused as to what you're suggesting, actually, because you *can* use Blink to kite mobs, you *can* blink-strafe at the moment. You just have to use the mouse to turn and not click on Blink like a terribad.
Have you ever seen the vanishing mage trick in the WSG flag room with Blink? It's amazing, and it's hilarious when it works. That's kind of what you're suggesting, I think, and it is possible.

You're right. no legal macro can turn your character, but you can make one that turns the *camera view* 180 degrees and it's just a quick right click to get your character to turn to the camera angle.
Also, there's a macro out there that will blink and then turn the camera so it's easier to start that aoe blizzard with a right-click character turn.
TL:DR - macros can turn camera angle, you have to turn your character

How would I find a video/screenshot/story about this WSG blink trick?
