When we find a mining node in an instance, should we enchanters also be able to roll at the stuff then??bring the player not the profession...If this is auto DE, they sure did fuck the enchanters over... the auction house is going to be flooded with cheep enchanting mats and there will no longer be any money in enchanting even though its still thought of as one of the most expensive professions to level..

This has been argued to death..If you didnt have a miner in the group, the ore node would sit there unused. If you didnt have an enchanter in the group, people would still be getting greens. The best bet, is to make the point of how you are going to do it in the beginning with enchanting:-- "Everyone greed and I'll DE my own stuff" (taking no more loot than you normally would.)-- "I'll greed everything (taking ALL the green drops) and DE them, then we can roll at the end for shards."-- "I'll greed everything (taking ALL the green drops) and DE them, rolling every time on each dust/essence/shard." Just because you CAN turn loot that EVERYONE would normally get into something with more worth, does NOT entitle you to force a roll on someone who is gathering something that NO ONE ELSE can even access had they not been there. However if the miner/herbalist/skinner offers for you to roll, by all means do so.

No money for enchanting? Oh please! If you want to make more money then charge through the nose for your services. On my server, JCs are charging around 20g to CUT epic gems. Crafters who can make the Ulduar gear charge around 50g for that on my server, as well (and that's with my mats). If people start getting mats for cheap/free then just charge more for the service of chanting the item. Besides, if ur in chanting for the gold only, then you picked the wrong profession. Get a gathering one and start raking the gold.I hope to God this means that if everyone rolls DE that it auto DEs the item and you win the mats. I hate vendoring stuff when it could have been DEd.

I won't argue the "I'm and enchanter so I should get first dibs on stuff no one needs" issue, that's been argued to death.I will argue on this point"Just because you CAN turn loot that EVERYONE would normally get into something with more worth, does NOT entitle you to force a roll on someone who is gathering something that NO ONE ELSE can even access had they not been there. However if the miner/herbalist/skinner offers for you to roll, by all means do so."If there was no enchanter then the rest of the group could not access the mats. They could vendor the item, which is better than letting a node/herb/skin sit in the instance. It would be similar to the situation where Mat the Miner ( for some unknown reason) does not want to mine a node. Except the UI tells everyone that Mat is a miner, and now the group is bugging Mat to tap the node for them.

My point exactly. Why should someone else be able to d/e an item when i worked very hard and spent gold leveling enchanting. When we do an instance like Violet Hold, i dont say ooh an artic fur dropped when you skinned it and do /roll. It is a reward for that skinner who took the time and effort to level skinning. Well i did the same for enchanting and hate this new idea.
