Around Azeroth: Ooh, shiny
Enterprising draenei mage Mynnx of Alonsus-EU has crafted the world's largest Lustrous Star of Elune. Unfortunately, just like in the auction house, no one is willing to pay more than two gold to buy it. Mynnx might want to consider moving her operation to Wintergrasp and building something with plus stamina. That'll attract the PvPers.
Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see them on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. Please include the word "Azeroth" in your post so it does not get swept into the spam bin. We strongly prefer full screen shots without the UI showing -- use alt-Z to remove it. Please, no more battleground scoreboards, gold seller ads with deadgnomes any race at all, or pictures of the Ninja Turtles in Dalaran.

Beautiful picture, even if I have no clue where it was taken.

If memory serves me, this occurs at the end of an escort quest in Winterspring where you discover the origin of Azeroth's Moonkin.

The fact that I've been playing for couple of years now, and I've never seen that place before, makes this really nice, and very (as said by Katalliaan) beutiful picture.

It's the Owl Wing Thicket in southern Winterspring, on your left just before the Gorges. That particular sight in the screenshot is part of a cutscene of sorts in the quest where the crystal appears. So you wouldn't have seen that exact place before. Otherwise it's just a bunch of Moonkin Caves that has a path south to an altar.
Like others said, it's part of a quest chain that tells the origin of Moonkins and why they're so pissed at everybody. It's one of the coolest chains in the base game, I recommend it. I think it starts from the guy at Rutheran Village in the 2-story building who wants you to go pick up WIldkin Feathers in the Hinterlands.

Hey, I remember that quest! It's a very pretty quest.

Yeah nice quest chain. Showing you the significance of the moonkin as avatars of Elune.
After you've killed about 30 of them. Oops.

Does anyone remember quest name? Would love to try it before old world changes...

What is the quest name? Is this an Alliance-only or Druid-only quest, or is it available to everyone?
Itanius Oct 9th 2009 10:59AM
Oops, thanks macster!
