I wish this guide had been around when first starting playing my mage. It would have saved my guildmates a lot of aggravation.

I have one piece of advice for mages in instances: do NOT make your tank chase you all over the room to re-gain aggro when you've pulled it. Run directly to your tank so she can get the mob off you with a minimum of fuss.

Also, be willing to take a bullet for your healer. I guess that's two pieces of advice.
