Around Azeroth: Spawn of a mad god
I am quite a fan of all things slimy and gelatinous in the deep sea, as evidenced by my current and former desktop wallpapers. I could happily fill this column with nothing but screenshots of the various uses of the Vanquished Tentacle of C'thun and go to bed satisfied that I had made the world a better place. But the stained glass window on the left side of this room before General Vezax in Ulduar disturbs even me. Are those half babies, half tadpoles? Do the raid leaders need to keep an eye on our human ladies to make sure they don't sneak off and procreate with the Old Ones? Ick. (Thanks to Haides of <INSIDIOUS> on Cairne for the screenshot.)
Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see them on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. Please include the word "Azeroth" in your post so it does not get swept into the spam bin. We strongly prefer full screen shots without the UI showing -- use alt-Z to remove it. Please, no more battleground scoreboards, gold seller ads with deadgnomes any race at all, or pictures of the Ninja Turtles in Dalaran.

Could it be possible we see them in cataclysm as a faction such as the walrus men?

Those are some..interesting wallpaper choices you have there Elizabeth, especially the Cthulhu one!

Holy Mother, is that Cthulhu wallpaper a great one... Though not an obvious wallpaper choice, for me at least.
I've only recently become acquainted with the Cthonian universe (blimey, I live in a backwater place), and I've just finished some stories and miscellania like Nyarlathotep and the Necronomicon... Amazing pieces.
A bit more on topic, my guild sometimes debates upon the breach on one of the windows in Vezax' room. Why, how, what for?

The stained glass at that point in Tyr/Vezax's wing isn't disturbing. What they turn into downstairs, closer to Yogg, THAT's the weird stuff.

I always assumed those were the Naga prior to some apocalyptic event that turned them more snake than man (like, say, how the Earthen turned into Dwarves).

NOOOOOOOO
Naga are an offshoot of the Highborne, the original elven race. Not merpeople.
That said, I'm not seeing the creepiness in the baby picture. They're merbabies! How you get a merbaby out of a merman and a a mermaid, however, is a question I'll leave for merhealth class.

Well the Naga used to be Highborne, and these look more like typical mer creatures. It's possible you are right, though. I mean, they ARE the Titans. The can do whatever they feel like doing, hehe.

Maybe its a set up for Cataclysm where they might introduce Neptulon, (who I assume is the guy on the right) and by association they would introduce mer-people. That might makes sense considering they have so far introduced a third faction in each expansion which is beset by the main bad guys kind of like the Tuskkar in Wrath and the Kurenei/Broken/Ashtongue before them in BC.

If you find that picture disturbing, I'd recommend staying away from the movie "Ponyo" :)
An interesting, though out-of-print Cthulhu graphic novel I read recently is "Jenny Finn: Doom Messiah".

That's a good graphic novel. Nice imagery.

The guy on the right is a merman. Note the greenish lower torso and the trident. It's certainly not a stretch to say that the kids on the left are merchildren.

These are clearly pictures of what Murlocs used to look like before they, "evolved." The King Murloc on the right is clearly wielding the famous http://www.wowhead.com/?item=37461.

Those are actually Hulocs. Half Human, half Murloc. It dates back to a time when men were men and women were fish people, and everything was a quiet, serene place filled with the sounds of babies hurling themselves across the plains to devour cattle whole.
