Very good post, Dom. Once again, you have taken EJ material and made it readable. Thank you. :)
Regarding the Life Tap vs. Immolate Glyphs: I have tried both as a Destro Warlock (13/58) have settled with the Immolate Glyph. As you stated, the difference between the two is "marginal," and I have become so used to dodging the dreaded Global Cooldown and rarely Life Tap as a result, so Immo just makes more sense for my play style (and on average, gave me a slightly higher DPS number in a high-crit raid environment too!).

Yeah, I was going to say that for glyphs Immolate outscales Life Tap in Destro Spec at very low [Naxx] level gearing. Especially if you have ISL and are raiding, you tap so rarely the buff isn't worth it.

I agree, it's nice that for Deep Destro the Immolate/Life Tap choice really comes down to a matter of playstyle. I find Immolate to better suit my burn rate and targets. In Heroics I rarely have to life tap on any given boss, and raids I will wait until I have to move to Life Tap, so it doesn't feel like a wasted GCD. But it definitely has advantages for a tank and spank.
Excellent column, Mr. Hobbs. Thank you.
