It's a thought but a definite no. death and decay is a decent aoe spell but it uses up 3 runes! that completely gimps your rotation.
DnD you have a better chance of pulling threat with a large group of mobs(i try and use it on whelps in Ony but I always pull threat), on a boss fight you'll want the unholy dk to just stick on the boss and spread some diseases on any large groups of mobs...apply your ebon plague and let the casters aoe.
ill use a normal rotation then activate a death rune using blood tap to pestilence and sprad diseases, thus not messing up my rotation.

Hence why the 20% damage bonus is on the TANK set and not the DPS set.

Actually, as K pointed out above, once you get to a certain amount of mobs D&D is bar none your best call for AoE. Especially if you have to run to get to where the action is anyway: a D&D followed up by an Emp Rune Weapon to get you back to rotation fast can be a hell of a lot of DPS. It's very useful on whelps, for instance. If you need to put as much damage on as many as possible a D&D can be an excellent way to go for DPS.

Rossi has it. It's also worth noting that the threat part of DnD isn't so bad if you use the following DPS rotation:
PS->IT->Pest->DnD
This not only gets your debuffs up so you get maximum damage off the DnD, but gives your tank time to build damage before you drop it.

Yup, your tanks will love you for DnDing as a DPS DK. For extra points, make sure you do it glyphed as Unholy without Subversion.
The best part, you can just chill out and watch the action after the first set of whelps kills you.
Also be sure to macro in Rune Strike to all your abilities as DPS. When a mob is trying to hit you already because you have aggro, the best thing to do is use another high aggro ability.

there is no reason that any DPS DK should not spend 3 points in subversion.
...DnD does so much dmg to a ton of mobs but honestly, you're better off alive.(incoming AoE nerf as well)

A tank who loses aggro to a DK in Blood or Unholy presence dropping a D&D after the tank has gotten his threat rotation off the ground is a bad tank. As a tank, I welcome anything that a DPSer can do to knock the immortal guardians back down to one, or to burn down the nerubian burrowers faster.

as a tank, you should punch any DK in the face if he drops a DnD on the mobs you are referring to.
