My question would be... did you know ahead of time that you needed 3k DPS? It certainly sounds like the Hunter knew he couldn't pull that. Why was he there in the first place?
You did make sure everybody in the group knew what was expected before the invites when out, right?

Sounds like if the "average" was 2700, then a few people were below the mark. Who else got replaced? Just the hunter? Was it an easy, epic win once you finally got him out of the group?
