WoW Moviewatch: Dream an Emerald Dream
Today's Moviewatch features the return of a legend. I want to be clear that I'm not being sarcastic or satirical here. Gnomechewer has always been a fan favorite, and a hero to many machinimists. His work was not only fantastic in its own right, but also inspired a whole generation of new machinima artists. It is with great joy that I share the news that he's come back around, with the release of Dream an Emereald Dream.
According to Gnomechewer, this video might not make a lot of sense. It's because he was feeling rusty, and jumped right in to re-hone his old skills. In the face of that commentary, I still found this video entertaining and gorgeous to look at. If this is Gnomechewer at "rusty," you can imagine what his "back in practice" is going to look like.
I want to close by saying "Welcome back, Gnomechewer!" Here's hoping he keeps on keeping on.

Love the video.
The music makes me cringe however.

I definitely enjoyed it, I cant wait to see a "back in practice" video.

No offense to him, but that is the least impressive machinima I've seen in quite some time. The animations don't line up at all. I understand he did it to 'get back on the horse', so to speak. I just don't get why this particular one would be featured and complimented.
And that song is painful.

Dunno why he got voted down so much. Boy speaks the truth!
Killchrono Oct 13th 2009 9:09PM
No, the boy speaks opinion you're too stubborn to accept as anything but truth.
Clearly not everyone shares his sentiments.

Druids on motorcycyles.
I’m not going to ask questions. I’m just going to sit back and enjoy this awesomeness.

The song's name is Dream a Dream by Captain Jack. It was made popular by its appearance on the soundtrack of one of the many iterations of Dance Dance Revolution (third mix, if i'm not mistaken, feel free to correct me on this one).
As an avid DDR fan, I love the song selection and the video overall. Awesome concept and visuals.

I really enjoyed this one. Its in line with some upcomming in game lore too. Lets see some more good work Gnomechewer!

The Crusade is coming... with a side of fries.

I confess to being disappointed that the music wasn't more like "Dream a Little Dream of Me" (Dream an Emerald Dream of me?) by the Mamas & the Papas. But, that's just my fondness of oldies showing there. :)

Loved it, couldn't find a single thing wrong with it.
Song was nice, animation was good, and my favorite race was featured prominently.

I loved it...and loved the song as I'm a huge CJ fan. ^_^

The endless pack of cats, night elves on motorcycles... turning into birds... turning into bears... rawrbombing. I might not understand Gnomechewer's entire plot, but I know awesomeness when I see it.
This is awesomeness.

Welcome back to Gnomechewer, he loves himself some music videos. I'm pretty sure the world would stop spinning and we would all be thrown off if he ever went to the darkside though....
Just say no to BE rap videos!
Interesting vid, definitely see what he meant by rusty, but still interesting to watch.
Aramis Oct 13th 2009 2:31PM
So as a Druid main, my heart jumped when they soared off the cycles and shifted into flight form and then dive bombed into bear form.....
That. Was. Awesome.
That is all.

I think its cute and most importantly fun to watch. What "actually" goes on in the emerald dream. ;)

I have to say I was waiting for this song to pop up:

...But I see the lyrics wouldn't quite fit the Emerald Dream in any way. I liked the video at parts, at parts I found it somewhat lacking... And the song was hideous IMHO, the only true Captain Jack for me was Franky Gee & Liza Da Costa. Well, I'll settle on to say; I've seen better machinima, but I've seen a lot worse too.

WTF did I just watch?
I never have seen a Gnomechewer video before, so are they all like this? What is he known for, exactly? ...and why were there now FEMALE taurens in this?
