Around Azeroth: Dream in blue
Tom sent in this lovely screenshot of the orange clouds in Dragonblight, as seen through the ceiling holes of the Azjol-Nerub entrance caves. The sky in that zone always reminds me of snowy nights back in Wisconsin, when the lights of downtown would reflect off the clouds and make the whole city glow. When I lived near the State Capitol in Madison, the aura was so bright that it made it hard to sleep sometimes. Now I'm in North Carolina, where it never snows. But on the plus side, we have hurricanes and a surprising number of lightning strikes, so ... yay?
Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see them on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. Please include the word "Azeroth" in your post so it does not get swept into the spam bin. We strongly prefer full screen shots without the UI showing -- use alt-Z to remove it. Please, no more battleground scoreboards, gold seller ads with deadgnomes any race at all, or pictures of the Ninja Turtles in Dalaran.

That's crazy! I lived in North Carolina most of my life and recently moved to Madison. Small world.
Great shot too!

Love the 'Los Lobos' reference, if that's what you're referring to! :D

As someone who lives in Milwaukee... Wisconsin weather is exactly like Northrend. Sometimes we get some great, humid, tropical-like weather from Sholozar, but in an instant we can be Dragonblight. Don't forget a splash of Lambeau Field's Borean Tundra. /wink

As a fellow Wisconsinite, I agree. LOL!

Yeah, NC native here. Especially this year, all I've seen is rain if it's cloudy at all. Fun times =(. And when it snows, if ever? We panic, even if it's not that bad o_o. I've seen grocery stores sell out of things just because of ONE anticipated snow day (which usually never happens). Good times.

Those would be Aurora Borealis, not lights reflecting off clouds. Move farther to the north and they are quite common.

Sorta looks like the view from inside a different kind of "frozen throne"...

One of the very few things that gross me out in this game are the little cthun octupus/bat things that fly above near this area.
